On or around July 20, 2021, my wife and I, who usually order through the drive through, went inside the restaurant to order. We have always loved the all-beef Chicago Dogs. As we waited for our order by the front counter, we noticed that after the hot dogs were taken off of the grill, the manager, who happened to be preparing the hot dogs, used her bare hands to add in the condiments (chili peppers, tomatoes, relish, etc.). She also took an order on her head set while speaking directly over our hot dogs and buns while she was holding them on a tray just below her face. We were dismayed at the idea that employees’ bare hands were being used to dip or grab out of the rectangular metal condiment containers, and then add the condiments to the hot dogs directly with their hands without any use of spoons, ladles, or tongs. The continual dropping of hands and fingers into these metal condiment basins, I can imagine, would only result in a grimy mixture of people’s skin oils after a while. It seems to me that a corporation this large and well-known would discourage this type of food preparation and instead use varying forms of utensils without exposing their customers' food to people’s hands and skin, especially in this post-Covid time, to avoid directs contact with any sores or skin conditions. I wrote the company about this. Within a day or two, I received a response from Marles Gonzales, a Customer Service Representative that stated, in essence, that their employees follow rigorous hand washing practices per the state's requirements and could not wear gloves. When I replied that she had not addressed my "bare skin" concerns, she stated, “I understand your concerns. I have referred your email to my Director.” And then, as expected, I never heard back from anyone, including any Director, after that. Sadly, I’m no longer a...
Read moreI like the food on occasion but mostly when I feel like having a quick bite on the go. I prefer the chilli cheese hotdogs and chilli cheese fries, and I usually can't resist the ice cream because it is surprisingly AH-MAZING!! Overall, the food quality is average for a fast food place. That's why I gave this chain restaurant 4 stars. The menu appears larger each visit and it's definitely not limited to hotdogs as it appears. It is truly an American-style fast food place with OUTSTANDING blended (with cookies or candy) ice cream. Now I really want to go to Wienerschnitzel and grab a Reece's peanut butter ice cream!! Yummy!! And I might just have to check out the interior versus drive thru with my kids this next time for a relaxing...
Read moreI hadn't been to a wienerschnitzel in forever, so I was like let me stop by before I go get groceries. . . I should have kept on driving. The two employees I seen look like they hate their whole life. That makes me sad for them more than anything. If you're unhappy their apply elsewhere, where you'll be fulfilled and not miserable. And then the food. I'll post a picture. But my goodness. That "chili" was a waterered down idk what. And there was hardly any of that on the fries which I guess is good. It wasn't good. Don't ever eat there. You're better off making your own or even going to one of the many...
