I would give this place a negative 5, if I could. It really is that bad. Walking in, I was greeted by a good stare down, included from the bartender. I was in there yesterday and felt so turned off that I felt the need to immediately try to warn other's. Crappy service, overpriced beer. Bartender acted real clickish and never hardly spoke a word. She was sure to hang with other's, who must of been in the click, there. They weren't really busy, but the people next to me felt like they needed to ask me 50 questions. I finally asked him if he was writing a book or something. In all fairness, that isn't the bar's fault. I tried to take a small photo for my facebook, and the bartender said she "Hated getting her picture taken!", & "Don't take my picture!". I said, "Don't worry, I won't. I got up after my drink had been empty for 10 minutes, and "Then- She asked" If I was going to have another. No Thank You, I will be leaving, was my answer. I didn't feel welcome and basically felt as if they seem to think that they are doing you a favor by even serving you. Bill was $4.75 for one beer, and I left a quarter. Even that was way too much. It wasn't my first time there either. I got the same crappy service once or twice before. So, I figure 3 strikes...
Read moreThe first time we went in there were two men standing outside who welcomed us in, but we just assumed they were being creepy. Once we got inside we noticed everyone looking at us. I felt a little uncomfortable until three of the regulars offered us their seats at the bar. After that everyone was friendly and talkative. You just have to be open to talking to strangers and you will feel welcome. It is now our favorite bar in the area. Karaoke night is awesome! Everyone is having fun, no drama and you can sing whatever and however you want without fear of being judged or laughed at. I understand previous reviews about it being mainly an older crowd but they loved us. We are all in our mid 20's and felt at home. The only analogy i can make is like accidentally walking into a biker bar, they look scary, and can be, but if you are nice they...
Read moreI like this place. Not fancy, but on the other hand, there are good neighor- types here that love God and America. I liked the staff very much: they genuinely are happy to see the customers, unlike some pubs that just want to.make lots of money. Pool table available. The restroom situation wasn't great- only built for one at a time, which is not ideal for people pouring alcohol down their throats by the score . Looks like the bar was built in the late 50s or early 60s, though, so the restrooms have managed to suffice for longer than 90% of the patrons have been alive. If I were a lush, you could never get me out of there. Looking forward to...
