Legend 8 China — Restaurant in Calimesa

Took a chance and placed a huge to go pickup order. I arrived at my specified time, a little later than it's normal for to go so they started the meals later to keep them warm, as I was 30 minutes away at minimum. Food was bagged and boxed, ready and waiting for me. Checkout was fast and efficient and I was pleased with assistance with transferring to my keep warm bags.

The food, we found everything in huge portions, combo fried rice with the request of extra green onions was correct, combo egg foo Yung, pork egg foo Yung and black pepper beef with mushrooms. A normal portion of walnut shrimp was fresh and delicious. Our appetizer set was as specified on the menu and tasted good too. Roast red pork in the meals was a treat since my normal drop in place doesn't do pork anymore.

2 large boxes of white rice were also included. We live down in the valley, but have put this restaurant at the top for flavor and portions. So me and my boyfriend went there for a anniversary date just got back and we both threw up the food because after we started eating the food tasted a bit raw and the rice looked really old and the orange chicken was crunchy like it was microwaved and the mixed vegetables beef was awful, the textures and the taste was horrible. It tasted raw and when I cut a piece of beef open there was still pink inside the meat! The workers were very rude and there was a toddler sitting on a table drawing on the table with crayons and they didn’t even clean it up! Our waitress was rushing us to order our food and acted like we were complete idiots and they were also racist to my boyfriend just because he was Mexican at a Chinese fast food restaurant. I highly suggest never going there if you want good quality food! They reheat old food that was on someone else’s table and they also reheat the soups that they make. They took my plate that I was using off my table without my permission and they never apologized. If me and my boyfriend get food poisoning best believe we are suing that so...

We entered the restaurant about 2:00, my husband said , there is nobody here, maybe it's not good, I saidwe'll, lets just try it. We were approached by a worker who didnt seem to understand english, so we pointed on the menu what we wanted. It is without a doupt the llWorse chinese food we ever had. Don't go to this place. I believe, that the food is old world chinese, in other words. It may be cooked the way the chinese cooked when they first came to america. Very basic, taistless food. We ordered fried rice, broccoli and beef. It was 99 % broccoli, with a small bowl of a brown gravy type rice, something that ive NEVER seen in any chinese restaurant in my life. (It didn't look like rise) Horrible taistless gray type rice, that we couldnt eat because of the look and taist. 1 % small cut beef. We got up to leave, but being the honest person that I am, we put the broccoli in containers and paid. If I had it to over again we would have just paid and left the broccoli on the table.
