This café is the best around! They have a buffet style brunch that goes in until around 2pm. They also have a room suitable for a large party, which I thought was very cool, there was a party sitting in during the time that I was at the restaurant and they sounded like they were having a great time. The seating areas all bring a different vibe.
I went into the restaurant to visit a good friend, shout out to Anna! However, she wasn’t there and so I had a server named Laura! I’m so thankful to have been attended by her because she was so friendly, constantly kept a smile on her face, and she was very attentive. I was greeted by staff right away when I sat down, great teamwork! They did a wonderful job with pre-bussing our table.
I ordered the shrimp enchiladas, the shrimp was cut into bite-size pieces, which I am thankful for because I’ve been to other restaurants that the shrimp has been large and having to cut the shrimp was kind of a hassle, so thank you. The rice and beans tasted homemade, so delicious. The fajitas looked very tempting and I am looking forward to trying them next time. My daughter got the chicken tenders and fries, you can’t go wrong with that! There were also a wide variety of menu options for children and there is a special section in the menu for seniors.
They also have some delicious desserts. I had the extremely large slice of raspberry cheesecake, I was able to take the leftover home to enjoy later, it had a homemade touch but the brownie looked to die for as well, next time! My daughter had a cute but fancy little ice cream sunday, I loved the presentation. They have deserts on display when you walk in to the restaurant, the display was a little bit foggy and it didn’t do some of the deserts justice.
This restaurant is very spacious and there are a couple of areas that could use some decorations for filling in shelves, walls, etc.. Otherwise, this is one of the best cafe style restaurants I have been to in a long time and I love that the Bob’s Big Boy decorations are still there. There are still a couple of Bob’s Big Boys a couple of hours away from...

Atmosphere: At one time this restaurant was a Bob's Big Boy and you can definitely tell it was seeing that all the Big Boy decorations and wall paper are still up. With minimal paint this place just covered up a dead restaurant to pass as their own.
Food: Chicken Bacon Avocado Sandwich- All I could taste was the lettuce and tomato which isn't much to say. The chicken didn't have much taste and the chicken was barely noticed in the sandwich. The bread wasn't very toasted and got really soggy from the large amount of lettuce and tomato. Fries tasted good with maybe a little to much salt.
California Burger- when I ordered I asked for the burger to be cooked to medium done. Burger came out to be well done. There was no flavor in the burger with a large majority of the ingredients being lettuce, tomato and overwhelming amount of pickles and onion. The only flavor profile I could taste in this burger was the thousand Island and the pickles, the bacon was not good, it looked cooked but it tasted like it was overcooked. The fries were also good with just a little to much salt to my liking.
Drinks: Strawberry Lemonade- It was just water and some kind of strawberry powdered flavoring. Typically when getting a strawberry lemonade you'd get at least a fresh strawberry in the the drink. When I asked for a glass of water a separate server decided to go on her phone and make calls first. Iced Tea- It was just a normal restaurant quality tea.
Cleanliness: Women's restroom was clean besides the mirrors, smelled musty, and they have a Koala Kare changing table. Men's Restroom was clean yet it also smelled musty, and it also has a Koala Kare changing table. Inside the restaurant the tables were promptly cleaned afterwards. The floors could be swept a little more often. The dessert refrigerator in the front I would not want to order from seeing how much condensation was forming.
Overall: I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, the overall taste was non existent and atmosphere did not make me feel welcomed. There are plenty other...
Read moreWe use to go here years ago when it was Bobs Big Boy and enjoyed going there. We went for the first time the other day to see what Sammys is like now that this place has opened and they did not disappoint. Tried their Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs as this is one of my most favorite meals to get when I go out to diners whether it be breakfast or dinner times. They have a real nice menu selections for all day meals as well as a reasonable senior menu. The Chicken fried steak and was really good and one of the best gravy topping I have had in a long time. Service was very friendly with the hometown cafe feel and I look forward to return...
