Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Callaway

Let me start by saying I love applebees, it's one of my favorite restaurants. However this time and last time I went I haven't had good experiences. The last one I went to was the one on 23rd street. I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita, but was handed a non frozen original with salted rim, the server saw it and made the bartender get me the correct thing but instead of her starting over she just poured the original in the blender with some strawberry and ice and served me it with another salted rim... it was so salty I couldn't drink it. Thankfully it was Bogo so my second one was much better and had a sugar rim. Then we ordered our food. I ordered a mid well steak, my boyfriend a burger with a fried egg completely done, and my brother in law the steak and shrimp with the garlic parmesan sauce. The food came out.. We got a burger with no egg, a steak and shrimp plate with no garlic parm sauce, and a steak that was still purple in the middle.. so we sent it all back.. the next time we got the parm sauce, an egg fried but not done the yoke poured all down his burger at the first bite and my bf almost gagged, he can't stand runny eggs. And a charcoiled steak.. so I send mine back again and this time the manager is made aware and says he'll personally cook the steak himself. Out comes another purple steak.. atleast they compted my order because I was done at this point.. And the manager just didnt care anymore.

Now on to today's service, we went to the one in Callaway to hopefully avoid the past situation it had only happened 2 or 3 weeks ago. We walk in and our sat by the bartender. Then not spoken to for another 7 minutes, finally the host comes and gets our drink orders and brings them to us. Another 10 minutes go by and still nothing for our actual server (Alana, possibly she never told us, the table tablet said that so that maybe it.) until she very loudly told the guests behind us their card got declined, and they asked to have her try it again and maybe have manager do it. She then only said she'd be with us shortly. She takes our order by boyfriend asked her if they could substitute a grilled chicken breast for the crispy chicken peice that comes on the chicken sandwich and she didnt know. She also doesn't look at our drinks that were empty.. so 11 minutes go by and she comes back and says yall need more water.. duh lady if our drinks our empty we probably need more.. some time passes and we ask the host what he does and he told us host so we told him that he has been a better server than our own and he says he'll help her out more. He was already cleaning her tables and getting drinks. We appreciated him we didnt get a chance to get his name either. He got our salads for us because they hadnt came out yet after the 25 mins after ordering and the the server (Alana) brings our food so we didnt have time to eat the salads first. We had no silverware i ended up stealing some from the table beside us. The food was great this time tho. Yaay! And we think the host said something to Alana because she was better at being attentive to her tables after that for a while atleast. We still had to wait another 15 minutes after we all finished eating to get her to come get us a new tablet with our ticket because ours was broke. The manager at the time was the same one from the 23rd location that couldnt cook a steak correctly.. thin african american man. So maybe hes the common denominator.. atleast the first time he spoke to us. This time we only saw him walking out of the office.

I probably will go back to another applebees because I love the food but something...

I'm quite over this place! There are no excuses left!

1. visit one was late spring 2016 .... service was excessively slow, including a fun smoke break for our server (who came back to the table smelling like a freight train) but at least an hour later when the food finally hit the table, it was decent .... or maybe we were starving
2. visit two was in late October 2016 (a Tuesday evening around 7pm) I tried a new item only after the server insisted it was good, I didn't care for it at all and asked to just get an oriental salad ... I asked for extra dressing 16 mins later .... nothing .... oh and yes I got to pay for both :-) didn't take more than two bites out of the first 3)visit three was in Jan 2017 service was sooooooooo turtle slow .... waited at the table for 10 mins without even a hello .... then waited another 15before getting a drink .... of course it only got worse from there .... enjoyed COLD food that time
3. visit four I swore after the last we would never go back ... but after sitting in a booth for over 10mins with no server we took ourselves to the bar (thinking that would be quicker).... even told the bartender we were starving... we only got apps and finally left the restaurant 1.5hrs later .... (appetizers yall)

Never going back .... until yes tonight ... MONDAY ... 8pm wanted a quick bite and decided to call in food ... bartender put me on hold ....for yes 15mins before I finally hung up.... (screenshot the proof of that) then on my way to chick Fila I decided to stop by and see what could POSSIBLY keep these people so busy ... and imagine my surprise when I pulled into a parking lot of 12cars, yep I walked in took 4 pictures of a dead restaurant, of course I wasn't greeted while there ....

HORRIBLE PLACE, SLOWEST STAFF EVER, NOTHING CHANGES .... I WILL NOT EVER EVER BE BACK ... waste of time and money! I suggest any other restaurant in Callaway! Corporate SERIOUSLY needs to evaluate this place! As a server of over 15years, I believe the entire place needs wiped out and...

Yesterday my very good friend, a senior care-giver, and her elderly client were having lunch at our Callaway Applebee's. Another elderly couple were seated at a table in close proximity, with the woman in a wheelchair. At some point during their meal, the woman became ill and vomited on herself. Instead of receiving any assistance or help from a server named "Lucy"(?), that poor couple was treated HORRIBLY!!! The man was told to get her out of there -- right now -- and 'you people' from next door aren't supposed to come in here. What's next door? A nursing home. Is that where they came from? No. They were just an elderly couple having lunch. As the man was leaving with the woman in her wheelchair, he expressed his feelings in a non-vulger way about their treatment, loudly enough so many of the other customers could hear. Good for him!!!!!! Whatever happened to "good" customer service? Whatever happened to treating patrons of your business decently, at the least? Treating them with respect and kindness? This "server" obviously knows nothing about any of that, or was never trained properly. Too bad for you because THAT'S what keeps customers coming back. I, myself, have a history of working in the customer service industry, as well as other members of my family. That poor couple!! My heart and 'well wishes' go out to them. They were most definitely DISCRIMINATED against. They did NOTHING wrong, except choose to eat at our friendly neighborhood grill & bar... yeah, I noticed "friendly" isn't even part of your logo anymore. I won't be recommending your restaurant as a good place to eat. Way to go, Applebee's. My home state has a logo, too, with 2 words. One of...
