Everybody knows whataburger right? I'll share the horrific experience I just endured. Here I am waking up to a late night service call. Half asleep and hungry as hell. I collect the details from the customer and confirm the service request is not a live or die request. I'm self employed I have to eat when I can I asked my customer if they needed a bite to eat which of course they did. It's about 10 till midnight as I arrive at my first waypoint. the callaway branch Whataburger. So the reason they are the so slow is simply due to the fact they make their food fresh to order which I respect I pull up to the outside lane speaker to order. I wait there for what feels like an eternity before I hear the voice to take the order. Here is the real threat to my one opportunity to eat before spending hours assisting my stranded customer. I place the order. So everything seems to be going good at this point I was then asked by the voice in the Box if I want anything else I said nope just my total at that point the voice in the Box proceeded to ask what my name was and as I traditionally do I reply that my name is nope I'm asked again what my name is I said nope so with a condescending attitude this voice in a box tells me just pull forward I said I would like my total before I pull forward please from which the voice in the Box retorted at me my total $16 and change and everything went silent. So with that singular bad attitude I knew then and there I was not going to be able to eat for that immediately instilled a fear of whatever this individual's problem was suddenly becoming my problem with bit on my burger spit on my customer's burger and I'm not going to have that I'm not even going to chance it so I decide that I need to get the individual's name so I can have a conversation with their manager to explain how the tone set the mood for my mind. So now out of fear of saliva Burger for myself and my customer I'm not eating and on top of that because Whataburger is so molasses speed slow I am not going to have time to get food the truck in front of me I waited for no less than 8 to 10 minutes before they were finally asked to pull forward please so I rolled forward to the window where an African-American gentleman with a headset on greeted me to which I requested the name of the woman that was on the other end of the box he questioned me as if he was puzzled what I was asking so I repeated myself I said I would like to know the name of the person who was on the other end of that box so I can have a conversation in the morning with the manager because they have a bad attitude and I didn't really care for it. So instead of just simply telling me the person's name and letting me go about my business he shuts the double doors and locks them turns his back to me has a conversation with an African American woman wearing a gray shirt not a very long conversation but it was long enough to obviously stir up the beehive living inside of this individual. She comes over the window eyes wide and her body language with a clear and obvious stance of aggression and defense fix her head out the window and said I'm the one that was on the other end of that. I said okay well what is your name she retorted at me not speaking to me but retorting at me mind you and declaring that her name is two letters of the alphabet a d okay I repeated that back to her because I wanted to clarify I said your name let me get this correct is a d? She said yeah I said okay I said you know you could lose a little bit of that attitude I said I've done nothing wrong and now I'm not going to pay for the food that I requested for fear that you may spit in it or have had something done to the food to which immediately without even processing what I said or perhaps she did who knows she bit back at me stating you're entitled to your opinion as she was turning around to shut the window and lock it on me as if I was some sort of a threat This is absurd obscene and uncalled for and unacceptable Behavior night...
Read moreTerrible experience at this location. I recently went through the drive thru. It was a long wait even though there was merely one car ahead of me; took 28 minute to order and receive food. The cashier I spoke with was the manager, her name was Jazmyn S. She was very rude and unfamiliar with the menu items. I asked about a specific sandwich and she was unable to list the ingredients. I asked if she could please find out; to which she replied she is the person who would know and she doesn't.. Never have I been to any establishment where they were unable to provide what type of meat is being severed. The sweet tea was atrocious; tasted rancid, like tea just kept being added to an urn that so desperately needed a good cleaning. The cashier was ringing up orders and cashing out tickets with the same gloves she was preparing food with. I spent $50 just to be completely disappointed. My children's meals were all wrong. I did not get what I ordered. I specifically ordered apple slices and received fries with each meal. The two burgers we received were dry and had little to no condiments. Fries were cold and soggy. The ketchup we received had puncture holes so they were unusable. I ordered a chicken Cobb salad; did not receive utensils or salad dressing so it was unable to be eaten. Customer service was nonexistent. Food was very poor in quality and taste. It was a bad experience all the way around. I will not be back to this location. Could desperately use...
Read moreI’m not sure what it is about fast food places in this area that causes them to be so slow, but it’s particularly egregious at this particular Whataburger. We ordered a couple of Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits for breakfast, a rather popular item for them, so one might expect to not have too excessive of a wait time. After sitting for a few minutes thought my passenger decided to get out of the car and walk over to the nearby Starbucks we planned to go to for drinks. While she was doing that around 8 cars we served their meals behind me while I waited in the “please pull ahead and we’ll bring it out to you,” spot. When my passenger returned with our Starbucks order she was a bit perturbed to find we were still waiting for our food, and went inside, where she was informed that they had run out of biscuits(I guess because they gave them all to the patrons behind us?), and were waiting for the next batch to finish.
I feel like the odds that the numerous orders handed out behind me were all for things that didn’t have biscuits is exceedingly low, which leads me to believe they had probably just forgotten we were there. Regardless of the reason, it’s enough that I won’t be going back. In spite of how slow even the Chick Fil A in Callaway has gotten they’re still not THIS bad. I hope this place figures out how to do better for the sake the everyone else that will still choose...
