Sharks Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Calumet Township

Prices went up so high this month or week. I'm assuming because covid caused all food prices to go up?! I usually order the 30 wing special that includes 30 wings a large fry and a 2ltr of soda pop. My total usually comes out to $35 dollar estimates. But this week my total came out to $57 for the 30 wing special and the $10 one lb of shrimp. ! ? Thats ridiculous!! Thats usually my total for the 50 piece wing special and an extra fry. On another note This location is by far one of the longest waits ive ever had at any of the sharks in nwi. Even after calling in they give me an estimate of 15-20 min. Ill get there and still have to wait another 20 min and thats on a good day. Alot of the workers are very rude prior to the past 3 months! Deedee is ok sometimes you can tell she's very busy and dont mean to be Rude and once she realizes it she corrects it right away in my experience.. But sharks used to be mu favorite go to for dinner when i dont have time to cook dinner. They are 5 min down the road from my house i feel like in the past 2 years they have been trying to better that establishment. And the lemon pepper wing, mushrooms, shrimp, and desserts are so good!! Everyone has to try sharks at least once in their life! But if i had a choice between miller, gary, Merrillville and hobart i would chose Merrillville...

Sharks overall is one of my favorite chicken places to go to ... but I would highly recommend you do not go to this one ! I ordered two 6 piece & fries and was unsatisfied when I didn’t get fresh fries. They were cold and tasted very old (as if they have been sitting out) . I went back in and politely asked for fresh fries and the lady got a attitude. The cook was acting like he didn’t want to replace the fries with the fresh fries HE JUST MADE. Been going here for a while usually not too many problems, food is great, service isn’t the best which is why I do not go often. So frustrating cause I rushed from work to get food for my family and was turned away cause “they weren’t taking more orders”. Why list on your doors you close at 12 if it’s really 11p? The rude attitudes I can get over but you cant even honor your own hours, So disappointed. I get it,I want to go home after work but y’all dont close until 12p so expect to be home 12:30a-1a.
