Positives first: the place was nice looking, decorated in funky coffee house chic. The coffee was good and the scones were really good.
Cons: I walked in and saw someone in the back cooking and one person behind the bar making coffee. No one said anything, so I stood there and waited. After the person that was making the coffees finished (about 5 minutes, she was making 3 coffees, I think), then she asked what I would like. Not really a big deal, it was just kind of awkward standing there, since it's a small place and I wasn't sure if I was supposed to go to a certain place at the bar to signal that I was ready. Whatever.
My main knock on Lily's is the prices. $5 for a 16oz latte seems a bit high, but $11.50 for a breakfast burrito is enough to provoke a negative review. If the prices weren't so crazy and with a little bit of customer service basics, this would have been a...
Read moreWe went for coffee this morning and bought two large coffees with half and half and an extra shot of espresso. We are tourists and the lady at our airbnb gifted us a couple of home made muffins the night before. After getting our coffee, we sat at a small table to have our coffee and we pulled out one of the muffins. I believe the owner came up to us and in an angry tone stated "We have a sign outside that says no outside food allowed, so, I'm going to have to ask you to not do that because I'm liable". First of all, I don't mind if I'm NICELY made aware of a sign (We walked out right after her rude and angry way of speaking to us). After walking out we looked for the said sign that we did not see, and it was waaaay in the left of the front door, so we did not see it. The coffee was just ok. I've had much better. Tomorrow, we will go somewhere...
Read moreI visited this quaint coffee shop with my sister while we were in vacation. We ordered a Turkey Bacon Avocado Sandwich without bacon, a Eggnog Latte, A Pumpkin Spice Latte, a regular Hot Coffee and a Matcha Latte. The sandwich was good, very average. It came with a little side of antipasta, understandably it had like a blue cheese dressing and I think Red Cerignolia olives so I know the smell should be potent but it smelt so expired to me. I tried it still and it was not pleasant. I thought the Eggnog Latte was alright but of all our drinks it was the best one so that would mean the others were pretty bad. I don't think that if I was in the area again that I'd visit this place again. But I did love the aesthetic of the shop, it was cute, very vintage, and smelled nice. that's what attracted me. I was sadly disappointed...
