Beyond Full — Restaurant in Cambridge

Went for brunch. The service was painfully slow even though there was only one other occupied table. I don't know what took so long, considering that nothing on any of our four plates was freshly prepared. Freshly defrosted and assembled, sure. There was raw egg on the outside of one of our burritos. Great time of the year to get salmonella, I hear. The "guacamole" can be best describes as green, grainy slop. I don't know how it is possible to generate that texture from avocados, but I would not be surprised if no avocados were harmed in the making of what they called "guacamole". The nachos were served with more of that green slop and a sour cream that I wouldn't describe as rancid, but pretty close. The corn was decent, and they picked some nice tortilla chips for the nachos. The tator tots and fries were clearly from frozen bottom shelf supermarket bulk bags. Did the job, if the job was consuming calories with as little pleasure as possible. I was assured that they added no ice to the acai smoothie. It was at least 50% ice and the rest was rapidly browning açai. 2 stars for the average burgers and the upper body workouts we got by pushing open the creaky door to the creepy...

I'm so glad I found this place! I used to go to Zoe's, so I was sad when they closed. That being said, Beyond Full is more than a worthy replacement. The food is delicious, the portions are gigantic, and the employees are exceptionally friendly. They checked on us regularly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome!

I was torn between at least 5 different food items, but ultimately decided to try the breakfast poutine since it was a less conventional choice. It was DELICIOUS, and easily could have lasted me for two meals. My cousin ordered a Western omelette and said it was fantastic!

Our server was excited to tell us about events they've started doing at the restaurant, like music nights and sports game viewings. I plan to go back for one of those events this week! Cannot recommend this...

This is the new restaurant in the old Zoe's space. Some challenges first: not only have the restrooms not been upgraded, they may also not have been cleaned. And the coke had no CO2 in it. But these were definitely outweighed by the good. I had the mushroom and swiss burger and it was fantastic. Anything on the menu with bacon jam is going to be good. The staff was friendly. The playlist was bold -- one that I would have been excited about in 2010. They still have the same oversized booths that Zoe's had, but they have been recovered. It's a big space and it has a bar. I hope they can get some people in there. Sad to see it nearly empty on one of the busiest weeks of the year in...
