I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cafe Luna and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. This charming establishment exceeded all expectations and provided the perfect setting for a memorable birthday brunch for my group.

Matt, one of the owners, greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel like valued guests. His genuine kindness and enthusiasm created an inviting and welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the entire meal.

Read moreOn Saturday, I went to Cafe Luna in Cambridge for breakfast, it was busy and I was alone and hungry, I agreed to sit at the bar.
The waiter who served me didn't care at all about being polite, in fact his name is Steve S. (a man with white hair). Well, the story is long, I'll get to it shortly.
Somewhat reluctantly, he took my order and didn't come back, he didn't bother to know if everything was okay with me, so I put the plate aside and started looking at my cell phone and he was at the table behind me chatting, telling stories and I wanted to make another order, but he was busy paying super attention to the table behind me and ignoring me.
From a distance he asked me if I wanted a container, I said no and I thought he was going to bring me the bill, haha, also, no. He didn’t bring the check. Finally , I got tired of the nonsense and grabbed my bag and went to the reception to pay my bill, the manager answered me and called him over, I jokingly asked him if he didn’t like me, to which he replied in a very rude way: I’m busy and I’m a human being, I answered but he had enough time to chat with the table behind me, I gave him my credit card, he paid for it and I took it back and left very angry with him. But, I went back and asked for a copy of the receipt, he cleverly gave me a copy of my BILL and NOT a copy of my credit card payment.
And as I was talking to the manager, I heard that he said something to the guy at the front desk who helped him print my receipt, I didn't notice the "mistake", at home at night I went to look at my account and there it was, what I thought was going to happen, but I really wish he hadn't had the audacity to do it.

Read moreLoved the atmosphere and the service! No complaints there. My only complaint is how they organize and serve their vegan dishes. They offer "make it vegan" on their menu but their service could be more vegan friendly.
For example, I ordered the Mexican bowl (the server recommended it as a vegan option) which normally comes with cotija cheese included. Our server told me, "we'll just leave off the cheese." This feels unfair as a customer - if you're going to take something out of the dish, automatically substitute it for something else. It would have been perfect if she just said, "we'll give you double avocado since we're taking off these cheese."
After a few minutes our server came back to the table and told me, "well we have to leave off the corn too because we only have corn as elotes with sour cream and cheese." She offered me to sub the corn with sweet potatoes or brussel sprouts. Really caught off guard I didn't know what to say and requested sweet potatoes. But I forgot that I had already asked for home fries as the base of my bowl. So I ended up with a carb loaded Mexican bowl without corn. They should be able to add corn to a bowl without having to also add sour cream and cheese, right?
I'd really love for this restaurant to just offer a vegan Mexican bowl, for vegans and for lactose intolerant vegetarians. No substitutes needed. Make sure it has corn (because what is Mexican food without maíz/corn?) and make sure the customer doesn't feel like they're getting less than another customer just because they're ordering something without animal-derived products.
