Heart of the hotc regatta Heart of Boston
Boston My Anima A city of quantum energy, entangled with Spirits & materials, ghosts & humans, poverty & wealth Dark & light, yin & yang, blessing & curse Busting and harmonizing all at once… A city that demands me to prepay $2000 for three nights A small room with no breakfast, cleaning or refund Just because you can, yet your people take me into Their home, sheltering me with their generous souls. The Charles runs through your heart, a small river Bursting with your best oarsmen and women Your shores swollen with Ivy Leagues left & right Your men ran Harvard and Yale as presidents While hunting witches as life obsessions. You mesmerize me, Boston, for your quantum swings Between most brilliant intellectuals & darkest ignorance Your biggest crowds for marathons and regattas With loudest music, delicious food and expensive merchandise Shadowed by bombs and crimes. I love your map crowded with ghosts tricking and tripping tourists in hotels, dorms, riverways, keeping us awake with their unfinished business. You have the best food like Spring Shabushabu, and pizza that demands $10 for a slice. Yet on your Mount Auburn, you offer us the most beautiful Cemetery on earth, free of charge, with living fossils like Dawn Redwood, Gingko, Amur Chokeberries, Golden Larch… Draping over Robert Creeley, Amy Lowell, Longfellow and Mary Baker Eddy With equal care and grace, whether it’s a flat tombstone or Mausoleum. Is this what you’re trying to tell us: In the end, it’s our inner cadence and yearning for beauty That heals and keeps life going through our poetry and story?
I’m finding my way in your maze, Boston Through your ports, bridges and people: Your bitter & sweetness Your greed & generosity Your hate & love Your shadow & light Your sorrow & joy Your flesh & soul Your animus & anima

Read moreWe had a bar mitzvah dinner here and it was special night. The club sits on the water and the views out the back are spectacular. There is a bit of traffic noise as the front of it has quite a few intersecting roads with lots of traffic. The dinner was catered and the meal was vegan but it turned out to be very good. There was a large room for tables and another large room for dancing. The back deck was very nice and the weather was absolutely fantastic. All in all, a pretty nice spot for a gathering. The special people that attended this event certainly helped to make it...
