John F. Kennedy Memorial Park is a beautiful and peaceful green space located just a short walk from Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This park is an excellent spot for anyone looking to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a moment of quiet reflection. The landscaping is beautifully maintained, with lush lawns, colorful flowers, and plenty of shady trees that make it a comfortable place to relax.

One of the highlights of the park is the memorial dedicated to President John F. Kennedy. The memorial is simple yet very moving, featuring a granite fountain surrounded by engraved quotations from JFK’s speeches. The setting feels respectful and inspiring without being overly formal or somber.

Wide paved pathways make it easy for visitors to stroll around or even ride a bike through the area. There are several benches scattered throughout the park where you can sit and enjoy the surroundings or read a book. It’s also a nice spot for a casual picnic if the weather is good.

The park is clean, feels very safe, and is generally not too crowded, even on weekends. If you are visiting Harvard University or exploring Harvard Square, this park is definitely worth a stop. It’s a hidden gem that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, history, and a sense of calm right in the middle...

Fairly basic park, nicely located between Harvard Square and the Charles river.

Pros: Location, Green grass, Enough trees to provide shade.

Cons: No trash cans by the exits where you most need them (?), Often a lot of goose droppings in the southern half of the park. Memorial Drive is very busy and drives a wedge between the Charles and the park. The park could have been spectacular, had it been connected to the river. (For some reason neither Cambridge nor Boston seem to value the great natural resource that the Charles river is, both cities choosing to place main traffic arteries right next to the river, effectively separating the city from the river. Great example of failed city...

This is a very nice park. In last 2 years, they added about 10 metal tables with benches. Before that, there were only two. The park is immediately adjacent to (slightly downhill of) the JFK School of Government, Harvard University. I and my friends have met here many times for picnics on July 4 or Memorial Day. No one has bothered us. There are solar powered trash containers and separate recycling bins. Only problem is there's no public bathroom in or next to park. We have used the one in a nearby...

Very small park and very plain as well. The fountain did not have any water when I visited. It's not deemed for a person like the great President Kennedy in my opinion but the Charles River is right across and the views are good. I did enjoy the quotes that were present throughout the park though.
