Don Chuy — Restaurant in Cambridge

As I was passing through this town, I thought to myself, I wonder if there's a place around here that sells chimichangas—I haven’t had one in a long time. I found a restaurant, placed two orders to go, and my wife and I parked somewhere to eat.

At first glance, the food looked great—nice presentation and generous portions. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. The chimichanga had a strange taste that I honestly can’t even describe. As someone who is Hispanic, I can say with confidence that whatever seasoning they used, it was completely off.

Even the refried beans and rice were disappointing—the flavors were just terrible. We couldn’t even finish our meals and ended up throwing them away. That’s $30 wasted.

I won’t be returning to this place if I’m ever in the area again. This is not how Mexican food...

Horrible experience! Visited the restaurant based on some of the reviews I read online. My family and I are visiting from out of town and wanted some Mexican for dinner. We were seated as soon as we walked in and that was about it. There was only one other family in the restaurant at the time. We sat there for 10 mins without anyone even acknowledging that we were there. They were not busy and we could here the employees talking behind us, also it was about 80 inside and the AC was obviously not working or turned on. We got up and left and they didn’t even say anything as we were leaving, mind you I am white my wife is black and our son is mixed. I don’t know if that was the reason but you can come to your own...

The staff, the food, the service all made me want to get a job at Chesapeake College and move into an abode within walking distance of Don Chuy. I cannot tell you the last time I had a real taco 🌮. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's been years. Crispy shell, perfectly cooked meat, all of the fixings... I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. I'm from Decatur, Georgia but I am going to return to that store one day. My friend was excited to find they had white cheese with jalapenos. She lives in Delaware and no Mexican restaurant there has...
