If I could give 0 stars, I would. I am honestly disgusted by the service my friends and I received from the staff. We had a reservation for 10am and got seated pretty quickly. The morning rush had begun so we expected it would take a little longer than normal. We were there for over 2 hours. I am writing this at 1:00pm and I have just gotten back to where I am staying while visiting. Once we were sat, we got our drink orders and they took a lot of time to come out, but when they did, my friend had ordered an ICED poor man's mocha latte. It comes back hot, and normally it would just be a quick correction but when we walked up to the counter and said "Hey, this was supposed to be iced mocha, and we just wanted to ask if we could have it on ice (they literally just had to pour the drink into a cup with ice. The lady then responds, after having no prior interactions with us, she said (and I quote): "Well thats a bummer, because its an entirely different process" My friend (R) and I stand there a bit shocked, while the lady follows that up with "because its a hot chocolate so I'll have to fully remake it". And of course my friend and I quickly explain that it was actually a mocha (politely) and without apologizing she fixes the drink. We go sit back down, a bit shocked, but we also understand that its the middle of morning/brunch rush so we shake it off. I had also ordered a water but we never got that. It took about 15-20 for them to come back and take our food orders. Once they took our orders it took about an hour for the food to arrive. Once it arrived everything looked okay, until R took a bite of their sausage, finding a strand of human hair WITHIN the sausage. Almost as if it was cooked into the sausage. R had to fully pull the hair out, but didn't talk to our server or the staff because of the rude attitude of the person earlier (who seemed to have a higher position of power such as manager or owner). We finished our food within 20 minutes, and waited at least another 15 minutes for the check to come. By this time the rush had calmed down and we had basically stayed the entire morning rush. Once the check was given, we had our card ready and the server immediately walks away while R says (loudly) "I have my card" but the server kept walking away. We tried multiple times to flag down any of the servers but none came to take the card. R and another friend (J), went up to the counter and had to give the person there our check and card, and a 20$ tip. I personally left the shop at that point to wait outside for my friends (R, J, A, and H) because they wanted drinks to go. R ordered a chai latte, H also ordered a chai latte, and A ordered a lavender latte. According to those inside, it took about 10 minutes (by this time it was around 12:15) while they were not very busy at all. And once all three drinks came out, I saw my friends walk out the door, and as R was walking out, they took a sip and immediately spit it out saying "Its just coffee, its only coffee" and R checks with H and A and both of theirs are also coffee (not the drinks they had ordered). R and H had both ordered the chai latte EARLIER as their first drinks which came out correctly. A, R, J, and H go back inside, and right before the go back inside, I noticed the woman who was rude to us earlier, laughing behind the counter (I could see in through the window). I walked in after seeing that, concerned for my friends. R says "my drink is wrong" and clarified what they ordered. The staff addressing this was very kind and he had also been our waiter at the beginning before he switched with another server. R also clarifies that H and A's drinks are also wrong. Server apologizes, and said he would remake all three. Part 2 coming...

The museum restroom was out of service and we looked outside to the nearest establishment for her to go. We enter Blackwater, and my friend was having an emergency and immediately was running to the bathroom. We are not from the area, we are from St Michael’s and are not used to any worker hostility. When my friend enters the bathroom, an older lady maybe in her 40-50s begins yelling at me asking if I need help or I wanted to sit down. I realized maybe I need to buy something for my friend to use the restroom which is understandable. I look around to see what I could possibly get and I respond saying “my friend needs to use the restroom but I…” and I was immediately cut off and told how bathrooms are for customer only and that we were not accepted in here. Before she rudely interrupted me I was going to say I would buy something if needed however her ignorance and attitude quickly distracted me from giving her any hint of kindness. She was extremely disrespectful some of her remarks included “these bathrooms are for customers only not you guys” and “there are plenty of free bathrooms all around and you people did not need to come into here” and many more comments along these lines while shaking her head. Mean while I am not the person using the bathroom I was actually willing to buy something if it was not for her Ill-mannered behavior. If she kindly stated I needed to purchase something i would have been completely understanding. But instead she choose to be rude and leaves me to question if me and my friends skin color has anything to do with the immediate hostility. I felt completely unwelcomed, disrespected, and was left in complete shock with how rudely I was being treated, I couldn’t even formulate a sentence to respond back to her. I’ve never experienced so much disrespect from an establishment before. I really hope she can learn that kindness could have gone a long ways with how she treats people and I would have happily purchased something if she choose friendliness over treating us like trash off the street. It was an emergency and we did not deserve to be...
Read moreAfter making a reservation online the night before I expected to be seated shortly after arriving on time but it took 15 minutes for me to be able to get someone’s attention behind the counter!! It takes two moments to acknowledge customers that come in and are standing at the register. We were then POINTED AT what table to sit at and told someone will be at the table shortly. It took less than 3 minutes to look over the menu and figure out what we wanted but after waiting for 15 minutes I had to get up myself to grab one of the employees and let her know I was ready to order drinks and food. This and dropping off the food was the ONLY times someone came to our table. I understand if the problem was that this place was just busy but that was not the case. The owner blamed it on being understaffed but the issue is that they sat more people than they can handle. Just plain discrimination, mind you I’m a light skin female walking in with my white spouse so I should’ve expected not to get treated the same as every other customer who walked in. Every other table in the restaurant got service, even had the owner stop and converse with them a few times. After searching for an employee the whole time I’m there I’m observing the owner greet every other table and every other waitress check on their table, ask for additional drink orders, even delivering the checks to them! I couldn’t believe it because I literally had to ask for service from the time I walked in. Can someone seat us for our reservation? Can we place the orders for our food and beverage? Can someone come back to the table to make sure everything turned out okay? Can someone give us a check so we can just leave this place? It takes a few seconds to greet and at least acknowledge someone who is standing up waiting to be seated for 15 minutes!! So of course by the time I’m finished eating waiting and waiting for the check I decide to speak with the owner myself and if I hadn’t I’m sure we would have been sitting alone and unattended until the place closed for the day. Absolutely ridiculous. Every employee even the owner needs to be trained on customer service and...
