We stopped at this place coming back from OC. Food is okay. Been to many Indian restaurant I felt quality of food is just okay but price is little higher. Dal tadka order for kid and asked not to make spicy . It was very spicy. They charged 20 % service charge and additional 3.5 % credit card fee which is ridiculous. My main concern is we order 3 biryani the guy just brought one raita then we ask for another and they have charged for that lol. You guys need to stop cheating people like this . We didn’t catch this since we are in hurry and someone in the group already paid. 06/03/ 2023: In response to reply from owner -you are bringing race here since your saying you must be from India lady. People who works hard I have respect for them and I have no problem tipping people.I’m concern about what is right or wrong. How can you charged someone extra which they never order even if it was $4 or $1? Receipt clearly shows 3 biryani and you bringing only one raita and when you told we don’t have another raita you have charged $4. This is wrong and cheating people. To those reading plz do check your receipts before you leave after you eat.Thank you.

What a GREAT little hidden gem! My husband and I were a little apprehensive when we first walked in - it's not the prettiest restaurant we have ever been to - but wow, were we surprised at the delicious food we got! The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food came out fast and hot. The fried cauliflower (Gobi Manchurian) was probably the best cauliflower I have ever had. It was perfectly fried, and tossed in an addictive sweet/spicy sauce that reminded us of a good General Tso. The Samosa Chaat was also amazing, the spice level was perfect. We almost had to fight over who got to lick the plate! My husband got the Lamb Biryani, and I got the Butter Chicken. We were very happy with both of these dishes. The Biryani was perfectly cooked, and came with a delicious yogurt sauce that was a perfect fresh balance for the spiciness of the rice and super-tender lamb. The butter chicken was sweet and creamy, amazingly delicious. Do yourself a favor and try this amazing little restaurant. I can't wait to try it again!! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!

So we have now went twice to Bombay Social on Friday evenings around 4-5pm and both times the restaurant was empty and this should not be the case! The food and service is fantastic. First time we had butter chicken, Paneer Makhani and Garlic naan and that was the best butter chicken I’ve ever had! The paneer makhani had very good flavor as well and the naan was perfect. We took gulag jamun to go and those were a very good sweet after dinner. This time my wife got the paneer korma, I had the chicken chettinad and chicken tikka samosas. You have to try these samosas! With a little of each sauce this is such a fantastic bite! The korma sauce is creamy and herby and full of flavor! The chettinad while I didn’t like it as much as the butter chicken was still very good, the sauce reminds me a little of a stew gumbo hybrid with strong peppercorn flavor and the chicken is super tender! I think they use dark meat in this dish which is a perfect complement to that sauce. Bombay is such a hidden Gem on the eastern shore and deserves to be packed every night’

I guess you can decide who to believe. My spouse reviewed our experience, the owner replied and said we were lying. We are the type of family to order everything - apps and entrees - when we are asked what do you want to drink. Which we did, because our children are 4 and 1. They brought our apps and drinks, which weren’t really for the kids though the 1 year old tried a little, and then after an hour a family we were chatting with (who arrived after us) got their food. So we asked about ours and the server said 5 minutes. After 15 minutes we told them we were leaving. Look, they made a mistake and forgot to put in our entrees. It happens. But then they denied it, said they were sooo busy (when we arrived we were one of two tables but I understand there are online orders) and then on google said WE couldn’t decide on our entrees for an hour. Ha. I am one of those moms who forgets exactly nothing. Don’t play with me.

One of the two apps we ordered - the Gobi Manchurian - was really yummy. The samosas were fine. I was looking forward to our entrees, but we arrived before 5:30 and 6:45… sorry, that’s too long. It was bedtime and my kids were hungry.

I really hope you all figure it out. And I really hope you survive as a business, cause your menu is pretty cool Here’s a tip: when you mess up, just apologize and move on. We’ve NEVER w left a restaurant before getting our food. My next tip: today at another restaurant the server said, unprompted, “want me to just bring the kids’ food out right away with your salad?” Smart. Probably a mom.

Finally: the reply to my husband calling him a liar? That’s the only reason I’m...

I’ve been coming here to eat for quite a while. Whether it’s dining in for date night or getting take out, I’m NEVER disappointed. I don’t usually write reviews but something happened today that really made me smile and I feel like I have to share. I got my usual for takeout last night (chicken chettinad) which I hugely recommend. Super aromatic and flavorful, the chicken is always cooked perfectly as well as the rice. Although last night my dish was on the saltier side and It tasted different than usual. I sincerely hate complaining to restaurants but having worked in kitchens most of my career, I know that feedback is welcomed as long as you’re kind about it. I waited until the next afternoon to give them a call and let them know since it was pretty late by the time I had sat down to eat the night prior. The lovely owner answered the phone and when I explained the situation she immediately offered to replace it no problem! It might seem like a small gesture to some but it surprised me in the best way. I wasn’t trying to get a free meal at all but as I’m sitting here enjoying the fresh dish, I can’t help but feel honored to support such a wonderful business. They’ve got a forever customer here. If you’ve made it this far into my novel of a review, SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES AND...

Finally, great Indian food has arrived on the MD eastern shore! In a word it was excellent and worth the drive to Cambridge! The restaurant exterior is kinda low profile, the interior décor is modest, and the restaurant is very clean. Service was good; our server spoke some English but the initial description of some dishes was confusing; however, we found that the menu depictions were accurate. Nothing ordinary about the food … high quality and very tasty. The three of us split a couple appetizers, Chicken Lilipops and Samosa Chaat … both were not typical of our previous experiences with Indian food, and both were just yummy. The entrees were ample; Chicken Korma and Lamb Chettinad, very tasty and nicely seasoned. Sadly, no room left for desert … but next time! Owner was present mid-way thru the meal, and he checked for our satisfaction during each course. He later suggested we try the Sunday buffet to get the total experience of their many different dishes. No alcohol served, and no BYOB permitted … but no biggie, because in a word, this place is a GEM. We will definitely return, and will recommend to those looking for a change-in-pace and want to experience a...
