Service was excellent our waiter was kind and attentive. The atmosphere was cool my hubby liked the music. Theres a live band on Saturday nights. I ordered a cab and it was nice, my hubby ordered a margarita and he did not even drink it. Now lets get to the food part. We ordered the steak and cheese empanada. It was edible because we were trying to find the flavors. The steak felt gummy and we dont know what cheese it was because it tastes like nothing just goo. Then we ordered the tuna tartare, which I usually order in many places now that it’s popular anywhere. This was the absolutely worst tuna tartare ever had. It was dry and did not seem fresh and 0 flavor we sent that back, out waiter was very nice about it. He understood. Maybe he knows something. Anyway my hubby said lets stick to a Spanish dish cuz they cant get rice and beans with steak and onions wrong. He was sooo wrong. The rice was either basmati or jasmine rice and very old prob prepared a few days ago. the beans were ok i would maybe eat just that. And the steak :( it was soo sad and had 0 flavor. The onions were alright with some flavor! The maduros were good and fried cheese was pretty good but they added a dipping sauce that was not good molasses i think, not necessary. This is definitely not Dominican nor Puerto Rican owned. If so, then they are not catering to Caribbean people. Bodega food is way better and fresher. Also the portions were rather small for an entree but i would prefer smalller plate with better quality food. The people next to us had chicharrom and mofongo they looked like they enjoyed it. A The girls on the opposite site ordered tostones with guac and they didn’t really eat it. I should have asked them. Anyway for us to go back they would need to step up their flavors and food game. That was a frustrating experience as we drove from far and sat in alot of traffic anticipating this place and their food. We paid the bill and ran out. We would have liked to stay and enjoy the band but this food experience was not it. Hope they can turn things around. Heres a picture after we...

Appalling Experience with Power-Hungry Bouncers at La Fabrica in Boston..

Much like most of the other reviews mentioning the bouncers- My recent visit to La Fabrica in Boston was marred by an appalling encounter with the bouncers at the entrance. What should have been a fun night out turned into a distressing incident that I feel compelled to share.

Upon arriving at the club, I was met with unwarranted accusations of intoxication by the bouncers, despite being completely sober. Their invasive and humiliating behavior left me shaken and embarrassed. It's worth noting that the police were called to the scene, and they promptly confirmed my sobriety.

What made this experience even more troubling was the apparent discrimination based on my attire. I strongly believe that I was unfairly targeted simply because of how I was dressed. Discrimination should have no place in any establishment.

It is regrettable that the bouncers at La Fabrica seemed to be on a power trip, using their position to exert control and belittle patrons. It's disheartening to think that individuals who cannot find alternative employment resort to such behavior, causing distress to innocent customers.

I sincerely hope that La Fabrica takes immediate action to address this issue, reevaluate its entrance policies, and provide proper training to its staff. Discrimination and power trips have no room in any reputable establishment, and all customers should be treated with respect and fairness.

My friends and I chose to spend our evening elsewhere, where we were treated as valued patrons rather than unfairly accused individuals. I hope my review serves as a wake-up call to La Fabrica to prioritize customer respect and inclusivity over the unprofessional behavior of a few individuals. At least be honest about why you’re not allowing individuals in, there's no need for false accusations.

Editing this to ask: what can we do about the situation all of us are having with the bouncers besides not giving them our money?? This is horrible. Call management? Civil suit...

I have gone here mainly for salsa and bachata events. The Bachata room is good. Outside of that I went again recently after 3 years of being away from Massachusetts since I moved after covid and I was saddened with how poorly of a night I had. In my opinion the bouncers are the issue. I am ok with bouncers checking for arms and ensuring safety but bouncers should not interrupt the flow or vibe of couples who are not doing anything wrong. I am there trying to have a good time with my girl and they always interrupt us or find some reason to annoy us. I had to leave early due to this so I went to havana club so I could enjoy the rest of my night on their latin night event. I always had good times at bachata room so those events I recommend. Other than that unless you like being harass or do not mind that then by all means go. Also if you do go unless you get some VIP booth that is the only other way to maybe avoid the harassment since it is like they treat you like 2nd class citizens otherwise. The sad part is they have a good venue and la fabrica could be a lot better but the bouncers are the issue. Also I am not a drinker so being rude or intoxicated on my end was not any reason for why the bouncers harassing while dancing. Bouncers should keep people safe but not constantly harass people who are just dancing and having good time. Literally the whole time I was there I had to constantly be thinking about where I was and what I was doing being I felt I was being watch at all time when all I was trying to do was dance reggaeton with my girl. If you go only go for the bachata room because that event is better. You can still drink and have fun those days.

Also have not eaten here except gotten...
