Traveling about, looking for a local establishment and found this quaint, off the path, small hot spot.
Family owned and clearly a local favorite; menu consists of burgers and hotdogs (primarily). I picked this location because I knew I could find something my children would eat. However, when you get there you see that they have a very large menu, serving all kinds of sandwiches, fish, sides as well as a variety of burger and hot dog options.
The burger got five stars. Chicken fillet sandwich got five stars. Philly cheese steak was divine, so five stars. And lastly the flounder sandwich was also a hit! We grabbed some chicken wings to go and we're on our way with very little delay. The food was fresh and very tasty. I only got a picture of my plate as everyone else was digging in before I could get my camera out.
If you're traveling through, this place is definitely worth a very small detour off the interstate, and if you're local please keep this place in business!!! We need more restaurants like this!
Google maps does not know the exact location of this establishment. The map tried to put us on a different road in an empty parking lot. They're behind the bank but before the car wash. I hope that...
Read moreOMG y'all are still there! Imagine just by happenstance scrolling across a YouTube story about fun things to do in Camden and The Little Midget was mentioned as a great place to eat. God gave me this gift. I know! I remember! I grew up between Camden and Kershaw (in Bonetown, tho prob not on a map) in the 70s and 80s. My parents got to eat there once a week on grocery day, and occasionally they saved us 3 kids burgers for after school. We got to go on Christmas parade day. I believe we wanted the taste of those chili soaked buns and burgers and those awesome fries almost as much as Santa. And grandpa (idk if he knew we referred to him that way) always remembered us! I moved to nc in early 80s. Wow, that's been over half a century. Thank you and thank you again. I can't wait to figure out how to get to Camden!! Thanks and...
Read moreIt's a great little find. It gets busy at lunch. That's why marks for service were low. We had a group paying separately. They took. One order and did a shift change. Made the rest wait 10 minutes to put our orders in. When the food came out, if we waited to eat together, it would have been cold. The burgers were great. The onion rings were cooked with old oil. Everyone seemed to arrive at the same time 11:30am. Love the location. Just off Dekalb and walking distance to the downtown Camden. Very pretty area. I would recommend going. I've eaten here before and had their fries, which were great. The shakes are...
