Finally made it here. Don’t normally get to places that are BYOB but it was cool that we were able to bring our own wine no reservation we just went and we’re very quickly seated the ambience of the place overall is pretty nice. It’s relatively small. I do feel like they probably should pay a little attention to the floors. I’m not sure if these were left over from your own place or if they were new but they’re buckling and kind of Kicking up in spots but the table seating in the overall decor was great. The waitress was super friendly, super nice and knew her menu knew the food. I personally asked her for recommendations on the entrée I want up going with the lamb. It was delicious. We got the grape leaf appetizer as well as the something cigarettes. It’s on the menu. Everything was really good and we even opted to try the one dessert again I can’t remember the name, but it was like the most authentic dish they had on the desert menu and it was absolutely to die for it was almost like a a version of pineapple upside down cake. Presentations were all good. The food was all hot delicious cooked to perfection the Taziki sauce I think may have been homemade and the service was great like I said the young lady we had I wish I could remember her name. She gave me a recommendations on a lot of stuff and I went with everything she said, and I was not disappointedso if you’ve yet to check this place out definitely go and do so.

I recently dined at Chop Shish , and while the Turkish cuisine was undeniably delicious, a few aspects left me with mixed feelings. The flavors of the dishes were rich and authentic, showcasing the culinary expertise of the kitchen. However, the prices seemed disproportionately high for the portion sizes offered. The serving sizes were disappointingly small, making it challenging to feel satisfied without ordering multiple dishes. This, coupled with the elevated prices, created an impression of overcharging. Another aspect that detracted from the overall dining experience was the presence of a waiter engrossed in their phone rather than attending to customers. This lapse in service negatively impacted the ambiance and left me feeling overlooked. In conclusion, [Restaurant Name] offers a tasty culinary journey through Turkish flavors, but improvements in portion sizes, pricing, and attentive service would elevate the overall dining experience.

How can you drive past a location and not notice something new? On Market Street in Camp Hill, Chop Shish Mediterranean has served Mediterranean/Turkish cuisine since November 2023. Thanks to new friends who suggested we meet and dine at Chop Shish, I was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. Chop is accommodating as a BYOB restaurant with an extensive menu and excellent service from owner Yilmaz Baran—plenty of parking behind the restaurant, which is located in the Old Camp Hill Borough Building. The veggie platter was enough for four adults to share as an appetizer. I chose the tender chicken kabobs, which came with rice and a salad. The beautiful scenic mural in the restaurant reminded me of the movie, Murder on the Orient Express, when the train left Istanbul. I look forward to our next dining experience here at Chop Shish Mediterranean.

We were looking for something different for dinner for my birthday, and I had been wanting to try this place. My only regret is that I didn't try it sooner. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, the food was delicious, and the service was top notch. I wish I would have taken a few photos, but we were all so happy to just dig right in that I didn't even think about it.

We started with the small mixed appetizer platter, with stuffed grape leaves, hummus, baba ghanoush, piyaz, and haydari. The fresh pita bread that it was served with was very good, and all of the apps were great. We especially liked the haydari yogurt dip.

For dinner my fiancé and I split the Chop Shish Mixed Grill, since we wanted to try a bunch of the options, and knew that we wanted dessert. Everything on it was incredible, but the chicken kebab, chicken adana, and lamb adana were our favorites. And there was more than enough for both of us. The grilled jalapeño and grilled tomato were nice touches, and the rice and salad were good. My son and my parents were also very happy with their choices- chicken kebab, lamb shish kebab, and grilled lamb chops.

For dessert, 4 of us got the baklava, and 1 got the kunefe. The kunefe was good, and something we hadn't tried before... but the baklava was out of this world. It was perfect- not too heavy and not too sweet, as it sometimes is. There were 4 pieces in each order, with fresh whipped cream in the middle. We took some home, since the portions were plentiful, and we're already looking forward to the leftovers.

And I can't say enough about how wonderful the service was. It was so friendly and genuine, and there was no rush to order or to wrap up after we had finished eating. He insisted that we relax and stay to finish up our wine. And the fact that it is byob was nice, as well. We will definitely be...

My wife and I were seated at a table and we decided to leave before ordering food. Here is why: The restaurant is BYOB. We brought a bottle of wine. Our server took it to open it. When she came back she pointed out that that it was hard for her to open the bottle and that, in the process, she chipped the glass around the rim of the bottle. She indicated that she thought that no glass shards had fallen into the bottle and left it up to us to decide whether to drink the wine out of the chipped bottle. She apologized for the damage to the bottle. However, at no time, did we receive an offer to repay the cost of the bottle, nor did we receive any gesture of remuneration for what happened. More importantly, there was no acknowledgement that it is unsafe to drink the contents of a broken glass vessel! When we inspected the bottle, we could clearly see that there were large chips around the rim of the bottle opening - both on the outside and on the inside edge. It would be impossible to verify whether any of the glass had fallen inside the bottle without emptying the bottle and inspecting the contents, and yet, the server brought the bottle back to the table to serve.

My wife and I were stunned. We simply left. We will not go back. At the very least, we would have liked the restaurant to inform us that the bottle had been damaged, and to refuse to serve wine from a broken bottle due to the risk of serious injury from ingesting glass shards. It would have been nice to have been offered a complimentary dessert or appetizer to make up for the cost of the damaged bottle, but our main concern is the restaurant's lack of common sense and concern for the safety of...
