This was one of those hidden hole in the wall gems that everyone needs to come find! It's family owned and operated. The whole family is super nice and our service was awesome. The restaurant is spacious inside with a full bar and they also have a dog friendly patio if you want to enjoy the food and the weather! I read so many delicious reviews and had a hard time choosing but I went with the Italian lunch special and my husband's got the American lunch special. It comes with bread and eggplant caviar, a soft drink, a salad with house dressing, your main dish and a dessert. We also got the veggie spring rolls. The Spaghetti con Saccicia was to die for! It was rich and flavorful. Very well balanced. I could eat that over and over! The burger was cooked to perfection, the bread is soft and fluffy and compliments it so well! The spring rolls were a happy surprise! The sauce it comes with is sweet and salty and the rolls are perfectly balanced inside. Will order those again for sure! And both the tiramisu and the cheesecake were amazing but I was more partial to the cheesecake. It was rich but not overpowering. 10 out of 10 would eat here again. Highly recommend!

New restaurant to the community. They've only been here 4 months. My husband and I eat at a lot of restaurants including Sedona. We both agreed the food at this restaurant exceeded many of the experiences at restaurants we've had, even in the high end restaurants in Sedona. If you're not sure about the restaurant, we highly recommend the Sunday brunch, $30 per person and the amount of food available to pick and choose from is unbelievable!! Unbelievable!! See pictures. The restaurant is family owned and family operated. They had a restaurant and catering business in Scottsdale but have decided to move up North to bless us with their phenomenal food. Definitely a restaurant worth checking out. For us, we compared it to our drive from Dewey, Arizona to Prescott, Arizona for dinner, which was about 30 minutes one way. Driving from our home in Cottonwood to their restaurant in Camp Verde was approximately 25 minutes. Well worth the drive. Definitely will be on our rotation of restaurants to visit on a regular basis.

We had the pleasure of accidentally discovering this gem of a spot while passing through Camp Verde while traveling around Arizona. We couldn’t believe our eyes - to see our familiar Eastern European comfort foods on the menu was amazing! We decided to come by for dinner and Astoria did not disappoint. The owners are incredible friendly people - we spent the evening chatting. The food was delicious and tasted just like home! They create a cozy welcoming atmosphere. There is also a nice patio but we decided to stay inside that night. Service was quick and for a Monday they weren’t too busy. If we are ever back we would definitely pop by and highly recommend it!

Wow! Svetlana! Svetlana! My wife and I want to thank you for the wonderful evening we had at your restaurant tonight. You treated us like long lost family. Your knowledge of Italian wines is truly impressive and your skill as a restaurateur are only surpassed by your passion and energy for life I and being a lifelong learner.

Now, about the food.

Wow, again. For starters, the arugula beet salad was delicious, with a perfect balance of beets, arugula, cheese crumble and dressing; and the perogies were so, so delicate and perfectly cooked that they shined and glistened on the plate. I had the breaded pork schnitzel with mashed potatoes for the main course and it was as good as any schnitzel I’ve over had, even in Germany.

I was full by the end of our dinner, but was gently persuaded by Svetlana to have the House Layered Chocolate Cake Cherry Medley. So I ‘obeyed’ but ordered it with a side of whipped cream because I thought it would be too rich and sweet and needed whipped cream for balance. But I was wrong. The balance of flavors was perfect, not too sweet, not even too chocolatey if you know what I mean. It arrived with sprigs of mint and a cylindrical cigarette-shaped (if I can use that term nowadays) petit four biscuit. With my espresso it was the perfect denouement to the evening.

If you haven’t guessed already, I highly recommend Astoria. The ambiance is only surpassed by Svetlana, her chef husband Levi’s gastronomic creations, and her friend and confidant Trish, who bring such eccentric and unique energy to bucolic Camp Verde. You would do well to start at this restaurant for dining (if you’re so inclined) when you visit this wonderful enclave in Arizona. I wish...

We finally got to try this place. It’s nice. Victoria really helped us figure out how to order since we’re not “world travelers“ :-)… And we have a special diet restrictions… Overall we had a really good experience… They’re going to have live music tonight that’s like Tony Bennett style it’s definitely a feel special or date night etc…kind of place :-) Or if you want to have a meeting with somebody and get to know them, someone you just met for example… This would be a good place. Theres hardly any places like this in Camp Verde. It is a little fancy and it is a little expensive but we’re tired of the same thing around here and it worked :-) so I’d give it a try if you’re on the fence about it and just sort of look at the menu and see what fits what you ….like… For example, my brother got a hamburger that came with a side that didn’t work on keto so they let us sub it for a side salad at no extra charge and his meal was about the same price as going anywhere in Camp Verde for a burger with a side included ($17-18)but much cleaner, healthier, and better tasting! But don’t look at the website menu. Look at the Google menu to see the variety because they added a lot more items that are comparable with local prices in some places even less than local prices. Don’t let the bistro name discourage… usually bistro means tiny portions, but this isn’t the case at this place. ….oh I forgot to add to expect to wait 15-20 for your main entree bc the food is fresh made after your order… i assume an appetizer would not take long to arrive though bc we ate the salads while we waited for main...
