Our MUST-STOP Hidden Gem Munds Park! 🚗🚙 Calling Verde Brewery a 'Hidden Gem' feels almost too accurate – part of me hates to share how good it is because I don’t want it getting too busy! But it’s just too good not to. This is our non-negotiable pit stop every single time we drive up north to Munds Park
🥪 OBSESSION-WORTHY Food..The food is SWAG. While I like to switch it up, my incredibly picky husband has eyes only for the Cranberry Chicken Salad Sandwich – he’s literally never ordered anything else! He even raves about the chips and their “perfect pairing.” DO NOT FORGET the Pineapple Potato Salad – it’s an absolute MUST. Unique and delicious!
🍺 Great Home-Style Brew: Always solid, satisfying beer that pairs perfectly with their incredible food.
✨ Stellar Service – Every Time: The amazing service is the cherry on top. Shelby, our bartender tonight, was fantastic – a great listener who was fast, attentive, and made everyone feel welcome. This level of care seems standard here!
The Verdict: If you’re driving the I-17 corridor between Phoenix/Flagstaff and Munds Park (or anywhere in Northern Arizona!), Verde Brewery is a MUST-STOP Hidden Gem. Killer home-style brew, obsession-worthy food (try the sandwich & potato salad!), and consistently amazing service (shoutout to Shelby!). Turns the drive into a highlight. Five stars all day long... even if I am worried it’ll get too...
Read moreIt's got it all! I recently saw the signs on the I-17 for this place and thought to myself 'I've got to try this place'. Heading back to Flag, I decided to get out of the circus called the highway for a break. What a perfect time to check out a new (for me anyway.....turns out they're going on their third year, just newly posted signs on the 17). I called to make sure they had a dog friendly patio and yay, they did!
From the moment I walked on the patio, everyone was very friendly. They brought my dog water, and were very welcoming. They make quite a few of their own beers, with a great variety, and have a couple guest taps as well. I picked the Pecan Nut Brown - YUM!!!! The menu had a great selection, but not overwhelming with choices. I'm a vegetarian, and there were enough choices for me. Any of their burgers, you can substitute the veggie patty for, and it's a great selection. I'd never seen a red wine burger before, and had to try it. Wow, what a unique idea, and really delicious!!
The patio is really well shaded with lots of tables. The inside looks really cool too although I could only look at it from the doorway since I had my dog. Just a very pleasant experience all the way around!! A perfect place to stop for a bite, or just a break from...

We started the day hiking the Sugarloaf trail and then set our sites on some national parks. We headed to Montezuma Castle and Well; These were some incredible places, and we will be sharing them in the coming days.
After our exploring, we stopped into an awesome spot just down the highway in Camp Verde, @verdebrewingco
This was a decent sized place with lively taproom and friendly staff. When we arrived, the inside was full, so we opted for the patio- For a couple of Washingtonians sitting outside in the sun was a treat. The patio was spacious, lined with picnic tables¹ as well as games.
We had a busy morning, so we were happy to try a selfish proportion of their incredibly scrumptious food, in addition to a flight & pint.
