Guest Review – Days Inn by Wyndham, Camp Verde, AZ I recently stayed at the Days Inn by Wyndham in Camp Verde, Arizona, located just off the highway in a convenient area with several dining options within walking distance. Nearby restaurants such as Denny’s, Filiberto’s Mexican Food, Starbucks, Burger King, and McDonald’s made it easy to find meals without needing to drive, which was a definite plus. The hotel’s location is central, and the surrounding area had adequate lighting, which helped with safety. However, I did not observe any on-site security personnel or visible security measures, which could be a concern for some guests. Check-in was handled through the hotel’s online portal. While the process was relatively straightforward, the room keys were not immediately ready upon arrival, despite pre-check-in via the online system. A quick ID and credit card verification completed the process without issue. Upon entering our room, we immediately noticed a strong odor, which appeared to originate from the carpet. The carpet looked noticeably worn and in need of deep cleaning or replacement, as shown in the photos I’ve attached. The room was equipped with a wall-mounted air conditioning unit that functioned adequately but seemed dated. The television was small but worked without issue, and the compact refrigerator provided limited storage. Unfortunately, there was no microwave or coffee maker in the room—an inconvenience for those who prefer in-room amenities. The room also included a small desk area, which was appreciated for basic work or personal use. From the upper level, there was a slight view of the surrounding area, adding a bit of character to the otherwise standard room. Breakfast was included with the stay, but it left much to be desired. The offering included waffles, bacon, fruit (apples and oranges), and coffee. The coffee quality was poor, and the creamer was stored in a communal gallon-sized container inside a mini-fridge. The dining area was very limited in size, seating approximately 20 guests at most, which made the experience feel cramped during busier hours. Overall, I would rate this hotel as average. It serves as a budget-friendly option for travelers passing through or heading toward Sedona. However, I recommend that the hotel consider updating its rooms—especially replacing the carpet—to improve guest comfort and hygiene. Travelers should manage expectations regarding available amenities, as this property offers the essentials and not much beyond that. For those seeking affordability and convenience, this location is acceptable. For those prioritizing comfort and amenities, it may fall short.

This place has many bad reviews and low ratings... and I can see why. KEY POINTS: - NOT PET FRIENDLY - NOT GUEST FRIENDLY - POOR/UNFAIR SERVICE - UNSANITARY ROOMS We came here to stay during our vacation out of state and it was not the best experience. First of all, on the confirmation letter (attached below) it states that this place is "pet friendly". But when we arrived there were signs saying only service animals were allowed. When we tried showing the people at the front desk they continuously dismissed us and were quite RUDE about it. They proceeded to threaten us that if they found out we snuck the dog in, there would be "trouble" and they would charge us a huge fee etc. From there on, whenever we would enter and exit the hotel to buy food or grab some things from our cars, the same 2 men at the front desk who threatened us about the dog kept glaring at us like we were criminals. But lo and behold, there was another guest who had brought her non-service dog in without any type of harassment. It honestly felt like a racist scenario considering she was a white woman and we unfortunately were not. Ultimately, my dad ended up sleeping in the car with our family dog. Checking in was also a hassle. Why did we have to do a bunch of other things ? Doesn't make sense. When we got to our rooms, there were these foul odors reeking about and stains on the floors (I forgot to take pictures of the rooms since we were all exhausted from an entire day on the road). The next thing I would like to bring up was the incident at the ice machine. We had rented 4 rooms so one of us from each room grabbed the ice bucket from each of our rooms to fill it with some ice. Why did one of the employees tell us to "stop" and that "you can't take any more ice" ??? 4 people holding an ice bucket from each room... were all of us supposed to share only 1 tiny bucket of ice ??? Ridiculous. These 4 rooms were over $100 more than the 4 rooms we booked at Holiday Inn. The other rooms were way nicer and cleaner. Please fix the way you talk to your customers. Being unprofessional about situations and an A hole certainly won't help.

After a backpacking trip we checked in and were greated by rude, irritated, unhappy Rick at the front desk. We decided to let it go. We got a room 217 which was not really clean, the paint peeled, there was a weird smell. We opened the window and decided to let it go. At 8:40PM industrial noise and vibration started. That noise came from an ice maker in the hall. I measured the noise inside the room it was 89 decibels. I called front desk at 8:45PM, explained that it was very noisy. I spoke to Rick who said he would check on it. At 8:55 I called again, Rick asked me what kind of noise I was talking about. Rick forgot that there was a problem. He said he would text the manager. I went downstairs Rick said the manager named Laz found the noise level adequate. Mind you, the level of the noise inside the room was 89 decibels. I said we would need another room. I asked to speak to a manager. Laz, the manager, came down and Laz, the manager, said he was well aware of the noisy machine. Laz also stated that he was OK with this noise. Per Laz they have to make sure the noisy rooms are occupied. Laz said that if we did not like it we could leave. We left. We went to a wonderful, clean, cozy, well maintained property Cliff Castle Casino Hotel. We were greated by happy Josh at the front desk who gave us a nice room. Save yourself the trouble, avoid this Days Inn property. This Days Inn property parking was half empty at 9PM at night, which means they do not have many guests. Despite of that they do not hesitate to put people in the rooms where people would have to listen to their industrial ice making machines at night at the noise level of 89 decibels.

We googled hotels in Camp Verde to stay for 2 nights because we were meeting a realtor to view a home we were interested in and as always looking for a reasonable price. We decided to stay at the Days Inn seeing the hotel looked nice and there's a Starbucks and a Dennys right across the parking area. Convenience we said ! Really glad we did. The hotel is quiet and the rooms are clean. I'm very picky on the cleanliness. The beds are comfortable...comfortable sheets and comforter that you can wrap up in and the pillows are fluffy. I can't sleep on hard or flat pillows. No way ! I have a hard enough time sleeping as it is. Felt like I could really relax here. I wanted an extra comforter to wrap up in and called the front desk. The owner himself brought it to me. When we saw him the next day...he was friendly and down to earth. Very laid back but professional. I had a lot of laundry to do because we were on the road and had a time frame here. We asked the times we could do it while we were talking and found out that it was 9 am to 9 pm. Well it was 8 pm when we asked. They said since noone was staying in the rooms by the laundry to go ahead . How nice is that? Was a big relief to me. Well needless to say...we ended up coming back three weeks later for a week while closing on our house we found in Rimrock. Again in passing conversation...the owner asked about how it's going and even the employees there too ...the maintenance people even are polite and say hello. Housekeeping is nice and they don't keep you waiting. We ended up having to stay 2 extra nights waiting on the house. We were given a complimentary night...I thought...who does that? Well ....they do. Just a comfortable place to stay all around. I've worked in the hotel business before as a front desk clerk...night auditor and front desk manager for Holiday Inn..Embassy Suites...a Sumner Suites and a Residence Inn by Marriott....so I'm big on good customer service and I don't have alot of patience for bad service. I'm pretty impressed by this hotel and their employees. It's one of those that you just etch in your mind as a definite stay for the next time if needed....
