Thai Corner Cuisine — Restaurant in Canby

I had the worst experience here last night. We placed orders online and were going to take it to go to eat at the taproom next door.

My mom had ordered before me so I walked up to the counter to see if hers was ready. She said these are orders, yours isn’t ready and I said ok, just checking (I could see my mom’s order on the counter, the receipt was on the bag). A few mins later she put both mine and my mom’s orders on a counter that I guess is where to-go orders are picked up. I grabbed ours but there were no forks so I walked up to the counter to ask. She said yes ok I know! I was so confused why she was so upset. And I said ok well can I get them so I can leave? She said oh my gosh can’t you see I’m busy! And then someone walked in and she said go please I need to help a customer. I said I’m a customer too! I was genuinely so confused.

After she helped him, took an order from some dine in guests and started bagging new to go orders I walked up again and I said can I please get some forks. And she got so mad and said it’s in there! And I said no it’s not! I just need forks so I can go. She said I’m just one woman doing everything, can’t you see I’m busy?! She yelled that she’d give them to me when my order was ready and I said it’s been ready! And she said oh my gosh ok ok sorry here! And threw forks down and I told her I could not believe she was getting so mad for nothing, she was being so rude. Even once she realized she was confused and the one causing problems she continued to shout and then told my sister who was waiting for her order that I was crazy. I was so confused on how and why she was escalating things and being so incredibly rude. I used to live in canby and come all the time and I just couldn’t understand what was going on....

The customer service is horrible. If you order some of the menu items before 4pm you will get a half portion apparently, but not all items (the chow mein is the same portion lunch & dinner) even if you clarify and pay for a dinner portion. After calling and trying to get clarification we had to re-order and re-pick up dinner only to find that even with the "dinner portion" of curry, the same half sized portion of rice comes with it. In the past we received a large rice with the dinner portion of curry, but we were informed that must have been a mistake and that only a small rice is supplied with curry regardless of the portion of curry. I was extremely polite and asked to speak to a manager as we had to go in 2 separate times as well as called 3 separate times to pick up dinner today and didn't want to drive back for a third time. I was denied the ability to speak to a manager and was abruptly hung up on with no apology or concern after a vague explanation of their reasoning. Their food is good, not great compared to other Thai restaurants but this is the only local option that I know of. This the the first bad review I've ever written and I'm sad to write it. I tried and failed to rectify the situation and clarify any misunderstanding. If you have have the option to go elsewhere don't go to Thai...

We walked in to meet up with our 2 family members. They ordered their food before us, and got their takeout before we did. This is expected, because we ordered inside instead of online. While we were still waiting for our other order, our 2 family members saw that we never got forks or chili oil as asked for our food. When they tried to ask for a fork and chili oil, the hostess at the front desk was being rude, saying "we can't eat here," (we didn't have any intentions of eating there, we ordered takeout.) When new customers came in, she ignored and refused to give us a fork and chili oil for minutes. She eventually gave us a fork, and our 2 family members left. Then, when me and another family member walked up to the desk to get our food, the hostess was calling our other family member crazy or mental, like something wasn't right in their head. She didn't realize we were all in the same group. I have never had a bad experience like this, ever. This was my first time going here, and it will be my last. The taproom that's next door has better service...
