Doesn't look like much on the outside, but inside is quaint, cozy, and full of - great pizza! And people! We had passed this place a number of times thinking it might be worth trying it for takeout one day, but then decided we would go there to try the pizza at the restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised to find a very clean, inviting, nicely organized dining area. We arrived at around 5:30 on a Friday and were glad to see we could order right away and had our choice of seating. But that changed fairly soon with crowds of people coming in for takeout and some dine-in. We ordered a couple of large specialty pizzas, some salads, and soft drinks. Salads came out right away, and the fresh made-to-order pizzas about 20 minutes later. Salads were decent, with really good Caesar dressing. Pizzas were excellent NY style, in our opinion. Of course, pizza is so subjective. But we really liked the crust, the fresh/tasty ingredients, etc. And the owner/people there were very friendly with good service. We wish them much success, and we will...
Read moreOK Haywood county, you have a true gem in your neck of the woods! Found this place on line while looking for the best pizza in the area, which for me covers western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina. This one caught my eye. Many reviews talked about how it was true NY style pizza and how amazing the crust was. I will jump on that band wagon as well. This is a true hole in the wall pizza joint that is making some of the best pizza I have had, and should be looked at as some of the best, if not the best in Western North Carolina! No joke folks, this place is the real deal. We got a cheese pizza and a Balsamic Chicken. Both were amazing with a crisp light undercarriage. We drove an hour to try this place out, and will do it again. It's 1 minute off of Interstate 40 at the Canton exit. Short hop for most of us in WNC. Canton just lost its largest employer this past week with the paper mill closing. Let's help support this great little shop. It's a...
Read moreWhat a surprise!! We thought there was NO edible pizza around our mountain cabin... and then, by sheer chance, we stumbled upon The Valley Pizzeria. They do not make a gourmet, "contemporary Napoletanean cornicione" pizza, but they DO make a solid NY style, well cooked, well prepared, nicely dressed pie! Really good! And they also have a broad selection of toppings which include the lighter, more sophisticated, elegant "fresh mozzarella" pizza, which was a huge success with us. I ordered their bread sticks covered in cheese and were delicious. The guys working there are kind, friendly, without being nosy/invasive/overly-chatty. The place looks clean and proper. Super easy to reach, plenty of parking space. EXCELLENT, THANK YOU...
