I have always loved the exhibits at the Canton art museum. This winter I decided to take a pottery class. 10 weeks, 2 hrs every Thursday. I need to state that the teacher was very nice and these issues I have, have nothing to do with her. But first they need to stress before the class starts how this isn't actually isn't much time to learn and open lab hours are key to advancing if that is your goal. My second issue is that the class ended 9 weeks ago and I still have one thing I made, just sitting on a shelf waiting to be fired. I am aware I am not the only person taking classes and that it takes time for the kilns to heat up and cool down. But to me this seems extreme. And maybe something people should also be made aware of. When I started the class, I saw a wheeled cart of people's finished projects with a "pick up by date" sign tapped to it ... eventually things got thrown away and I couldn't understand why. Possibly these people gave up on getting their projects back or forgot to...

The Canton museum of art continuously brings in compelling fine art exhibits to accompany its first-rate permanent collection. This is a lovely museum that features events and special engagements that appeal to art lovers of every age. The staff is visionary and celebrates art and design that is unconventional and exemplary. Artists from every discipline share their mastery via sculpture, painting, fine art, furnishings, etchings, lithographs and fine textiles. The openings feature local musicians of distinction and the culinary skills and aesthetic delights of culinary science departments from Malone and Stark State campuses. This is a small museum with world-class ambitions and...

It was very nice and a pleasant experience. A bit small, but that was fine because my daughter probably would have become too antsy if it'd been much larger. All 3 of the woman working while we were there were lovely and very helpful. The gift shop might have been my favorite part though, there was so much cute and cool stuff to look at, much of it from local artists. I bought the cutest little mushroom gnome made by a woman who teaches classes there and will definitely go back to get some more of her items as long as she's selling them. I would recommend a...

Literally the nicest staff ever. However the museum is only a singular room which made me sad because it's not large enough to attract the crowd it deserves. I hope they're able to get fund to be able to expand! The staff was so lovely, and the artists were great and they all really deserve that. Overall I had a good time albeit the fact I was there for only 30 minutes. But it's proximity to the McKinley park is perfect! Easy to go all around canton!!

This is the first Museum I've ever been to and it was absolutely amazing! I had to visit an art museum for a school assignment, and Kitty at the front desk was so kind and helpful in my visit! The artwork being shown was so beautiful, I loved learning the history of the Kokoon Klub during my visit!
