I dislike writing a negative review however I’m still perplexed at how so many different things could wrong in one dining experience.
My boyfriend and my best friend & I stopped by this place on Sunday afternoon. We’re generally never in the area so we based our decisions on the reviews, which were pretty good. The waitress took our drink order and app at the same time. Totally cool. When she dropped the wrong drinks off, she asked if we wanted to put in an app. We told her we just did with her. Odd question for a waitress to ask after already ordering an app. She then took our orders without writing them down. About 5 minutes later, she came back to the table for us to reminder her of our orders. Again, odd. If you can’t remember 3 orders- then write it down to start. When the meals came out. Everything looked great! I ordered the chicken parm which I couldn’t even cut into. The chicken was so burnt it was a greyish/black color on the inside. Disgusted- I sent it back. The waitress then proceeded to tell me that the sous chief knew that the chicken was burnt to a crisp and decided to add more cheese on it to hide that it was so burnt. Excuse me? Your kitchen staff knew that they were selling an inedible piece of food and you sold it anyways? They took it off the bill, which is the right thing to do. Then we get the check. We decided to split it. Two meals on the blue card, one meal on the red card. When the waitress came back she told us that she messed up and will be eating the $10.
Confused we checked our bank accounts. The card that was suppose to have one meal- had the whole bill has a pending charge! When we tried to talk to the manager- the waitress kept on interjecting and speaking over us, which did not help the situation.
It felt like a series of unfortunate events however the amount of glaring mistakes cannot go unnoticed. Waitressed messes up on drinks, meals and bill. The kitchen knowing messed up on the food and still served it. We should have been compt our whole meal for the amount of time we wasted there.
I hope that the restaurant can use this as a training moment to provide more training for the waitress and go over health standards with the kitchen as they need it. Chicken that is so burnt that it is a greyish/black color should never ever be served. We’ll probably...
Read moreI've tried so many times to give this place a fair shot but unfortunately it never seems to impress any time I've been here in the past few years. First two times I went here I paid in cash at the bar and both times I received the wrong change back. I didn't find it strange until another family member said they went here, won $100 in Keno and when he went to cash it in the bartender told him he didn't win anything. Not until he told her to give it back and that he would cash it elsewhere did she admit to her mistake... Sketchy.
I also went here on Saint Patrick's day this year when I received a check with not only my drinks on it, but a whole sperate order a food was put on my bill as well. It seems strange that 4 times in a row in 2 years there were bill issues for not just me but others as well.
Today I decided to give this place another shot as they are now the ONLY place in Canton that has outdoor seating that is dog friendly and unfortunately was disappointed again. The food here has never been great but today it was almost inedible. We got a quesadilla which basically tasted like it was 80% butter... weird. Then we got a burger and the raviolis for entrées. The Raviolis were definitely from a package which is okay but the sauce was basically butter and water with chunks of soggy sage in it. It was beyond disgusting.. I think I had two out of 10 raviolis before calling it quits. My boyfriends burger barely had a bottom piece of a bun, it didn't taste good at all, and even the fries were totally under seasoned and tasted like old frier grease. The waitress was great and extremely kind so I will say I appreciate that!
I hate leaving a negative review for a local business as I feel like Canton has pretty limited options but unfortunately I had to after giving this place countless chances and being nothing but disappointed every time. I hope they can get some better recipes on their menu and improve their food...
Read moreGoing to give this place two stars simply for the service. The bartenders were great and and they drinks were great. However, do not eat here during covid. This week I am awaiting a covid test because I am severely sick w flu like symptoms. Most likely transmitted from another customer. Social distancing table wise was not enforced at all and they were operating at 100% capacity. Every single table was filled and there were even multiple parties sat at the same table. I've retraced my steps numerous times and this restaurant is simply the only place I could've gotten sick from, as me and the people I live with get tested multiple times a week. When we were sitting at our table they allowed two separate parties to sit at a long table directly behind us with some older woman literally facing and breathing on top of me. I opened up Snapchat and she was directly behind me. No more than a foot away. I felt pretty uncomfortable about it and it was certainly not worth getting sick for. If you want to get covid this is the place for you. Just order their drinks...
