Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store — Restaurant in Canyon

This place used to have a pretty good burgers and chicken, but staff has changed and it is extremely obvious nobody working there cares about their job. My 93yr old grandmother loved having a burger and fries once or twice a week until the quality of the service and food went south. I have visited probably 10 times in the past 3 months, and the food has been burnt twice, the request for no pickles or tomatoes has been ignored every time. The chicken was so dry and hard our dog wouldn't eat it. The food has also lost all flavor as if they stopped using any salt or pepper. The fries are always cold and soggy. Usually there's at least one part of the already wrong order completely missing. I hope this location does something to repair their damaged business, or they knock it down and put a Whataburger there, where you can get a good juicy flavorful burger without having to go all the way to Amarillo, as there are no good places open on Sundays in Canyon.

I will note that Braum's does have good dairy products that are worth the higher cost, and I'm not trying to give the place a bad name with this review, but their cooked food has really flatlined, too the point we're probably not going back until...

My husband and I have been to this Braums multiple times over the last month. Every time we go through the drive thru we get greeted and at the speaker and told that they will be with us in a minute. No problem…except that it’s usually 5-7 minutes of waiting at the speaker for someone to take our order. There is usually minimal people in the lobby area as well, so they aren’t crazy busy, or I would understand. Tonight was no different. We waited in line at the drive thru and got to the speaker to wait 5 minutes after someone said they would be right with us. Finally order and there is no car ahead of us at the window. We pull up to the window and pay. A few moments go by and the man who took our money is just standing there inside the window. Updating my 5 star review for this place to 1 star. You can’t talk to paying customers however you want just because you hate your job.

The guy that took my order inside with a visible tattoo on his arm seemed cool at first, then whenever I thought they called my order I walked up to get it, and he rudely says “that’s not for you, that’s for her, go sit down you’ll get your food” and tried to play it off saying he was joking. Then it turns out they did call my number because it was sitting on the pick up counter and I told him I thought that I heard my number earlier and he says “you’re being slow bro”

I just laughed it off inside and walked out. I’ve never experienced this type of rude behavior from any other restaurant in Canyon. It kind of made me feel uneasy to eat the food too after being treated like that. I don’t think I will be...
