My sister and I went for Friday night fish. Upon arrival, we were placed on a wait list, 30-45 minutes. I'm not sure if they take reservations. There were no seats at the bar, nor available space to wait other than right on the doorway. Was able to order a drink fairly quickly at the bar, which was nice. After watching others come in and get seated before us, I wondered if they had taken reservations but never asked. After looking at the hostess, when the 3rd couple was seated, we were finally seated. The table we were given rocked so bad that my martini spilled all over. After speaking with our server about it, she attempted to eliminate the tipsy table by adding napkins under the feet. This did nothing to resolve the tipsy table. We requested a different table to our server, but we were told it was not possible. After a second employee attempted to eliminate the tipsy table by turning it, which didn't help, we again requested a different table. After the 3rd request to be moved or we were leaving, we got a booth. Whew, no rocky/tipsy table, no spilled drink! When you pay over 10 dollars for a martini, one wants to drink it, not have it all over the table. Our server, while smiley and friendly, didn't address both of us when she came to our table to discuss menu options. She never once even looked at my sister to acknowledge her existence. We both ordered fish dinners, and my sister asked for a soda. She was driving. We were served in a timely fashion, kinda. They brought my dinner out, and the kitchen server asked if we wanted an additional plate as if we were sharing my meal. When we told her, no, we odered 2 meals, Still no soda for my sister. After a short wait, my sister received her meal without her soda. We ate our entire meal, and not once did our server check on us. Still no soda. We could see our server at the hostess stand happily talking away. I finally spoke with the server that was taking care of his customers. I asked for a to-go box, which he happily obliged. Still no contact with our server, and still no soda. The server heard me say, check please and told our server. Finally asked for our soda and apologetically went to retrieve, bringing back one to drink and one to go. What a horrible first experience. We will never go back for the price...
Read moreMy wife and I have been living in Cape Coral for five years and we drive passed Bonefish Grill all the time. It's a little expensive for us so we just never went. After hearing how good it was from neighbors we decided to finally go. I hadn't eaten all day knowing that I would get the prize of eating at the restaurant around 1pm - I was SO excited to spoil my wife and I for once.
We get there and it wasn't busy at all, which I thought was good because I was so hungry and didn't want to wait too long. It took about 15 minutes to get our meals.
I ordered the fish and chips. It was actually disgusting and I feel sick the next day. The breading was soggy and it sopped off into the not-very-good tartar sauce. The fish itself was mushy. The fries were soft and limp. The ketchup tasted like it came from a large Cisco container. For $20 even the size of the meal was too small. I wouldn't be surprised if it was an extremely stoned 16 year old back there making the food. I even told the waitress to report the whoever cooked my food, "turn up the heat on the fryers". It shouldn't be my job to tell them how to cook. It was embarrassing...
My pregnant wife was unable to order most things from the menu because Bonefish used farmed fish, not wild caught, so she order the brussel sprouts salad. It was supposed to come out with feta cheese but instead came out with blue cheese - which pregnant women shouldn't eat. She returned it and just accepted that she wouldn't be able to eat there.
I don't ever write reviews but our experience was so bad I...
Read moreI was born and raised here in Cape Coral and have visited this location many times over the years. Always was a pleasurable experience. Tonight was the same bartender as normal and another guy I didn’t recognize. I came in after a long 12 hour day hoping for reliable food, service and a relaxing cocktail. I gave my drink order and waited 10-12 minutes as the bartender I didn’t recognize stocked wine. I finally got his attention and he had forgotten my drink but remembered the cute group of girls next to me drinks. He was apologetic and got my mule. Took my order and brought bread. At the same time the cute group of girls next to me got their bread, plates, silverware and napkins. I felt invisible like sorry I didn’t have time to dress up but I still require the same utensils to eat. Food came it was delicious. I had to wait and ask for silverware while my filet and lobster tail sat. Would have loved another drink with my meal along with a check in to see if everything came out. By then the one bartender was gone and just the senior regular bartender was there. I had to attempt to flag him down multiple times before getting his attention for another drink. I finally said am I invisible here because it sure feels that way. He had no response and brought me a sour drink that didn’t taste like the first mule at all. Super disappointed that closing the bar and doing side work was more important than serving a girl that was just out for a nice meal and drink after a long day/week of work. It wasn’t even...
