Last night, my fiancé and I decided to try out Oda Pizzeria Bistro in Cape Coral. We're always on the lookout for great local spots, as we prefer supporting independent restaurants over the big chains.
The place had a cozy vibe right when we walked in, and the service was spot on. Our server really knew what she was doing and kept things moving smoothly.
We like to try a variety of dishes when we check out a new place, so we ordered quite a few things. The filet mignon was cooked just right, medium rare, which is how a steak should be done in my book. But it could have used a bit more flavor. It was good, don't get me wrong, but when you compare it to the steaks at places like Ruth's Chris, it just didn't pack the same punch.
The pizza and lasagna were okay, but not something to write home about. The pizza had too much cheese for its thin crust, and the lasagna was more like a cheesy soup than the layered dish we expected. Actually, the lasagna was the only thing we didn't like at all. When we mentioned it to our server, she just said "oh," and didn't offer to replace it or take it off our bill. We're not the type to ask for freebies, but a little offer would have been nice.
Now, the mussels were good, and the oysters Rockefeller were decent. I personally like my oysters with toasted breadcrumbs on top, which these were missing. And again, there was a lot of cheese involved. I'm a cheese lover, but it was just a bit much.
The French onion soup and Caesar salad were solid, though the croutons could have been a bit more flavorful. The standout of the meal was definitely the bread they brought out at the beginning. It was buttery and delicious. Their drink menu was impressive, too. I had one of their specialty martinis, and it hit the spot. Their house wines, both the pinot grigio and cabernet, were really good.
I really want to like Oda Pizzeria Bistro, especially since it's right down the street from us. It's a new place, so I'm hopeful they'll iron out the kinks soon. I'm giving it four stars for now, but I'm looking forward to seeing how they improve. Here's hoping my next visit bumps that up...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at ODA Pizzeria, Cape Coral’s newest Italian treasure, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly blends modern style with cozy charm.
The menu is a delightful journey through Italian cuisine, with a focus on artisanal pizzas that are nothing short of perfection. We started with the bruschetta, which was fresh and bursting with flavor. For our mains, we chose the Margherita and the Quattro Stagioni pizzas. The crust was perfectly crisp and light, and the toppings were fresh and generously applied. Each bite was a testament to the quality of ingredients and the skill of the chefs.
The service was impeccable – attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our server took the time to explain the menu and offered excellent recommendations. It’s clear that the staff at ODA Pizzeria are passionate about what they do, and it really enhances the dining experience.
To top it all off, the dessert menu is not to be missed. We indulged in the Creme Burlee, which was the perfect end to a perfect meal – rich, creamy, and utterly delicious.
ODA Pizzeria is more than just a restaurant; it’s a dining destination. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Cape Coral, make sure to stop by and enjoy what will undoubtedly be a highlight of your culinary adventures. Highly...
Read moreOrdered just a cheese pie 16”. Pie has good cheese flavor, it has a good authentic salt taste to it. I think with just a little more sauce the pie is there but I wasn’t able to pick up taste of sauce. Maybe the sauce might have been to thin and not thick enough. So many variables that changes taste and texture of sauce from prep to which can of tomato used. I like Cali canned tomato’s they give off a sweet robust. Crust was well flavored, I typically like crust that leaves a little flour behind. This pizza gets a 6.7 out of 10 from me. I think it could be a good 7.5-8. Good cook to the pie, you can tell they are watching the cook time comparing the reviews. I think it’s all about putting constructive criticism together and good review. At the end of the day it’s a business and if they are good they will take poll and listen to a good review in order to get to that next level. I did order the pie for delivery and based off timing received and ETA is how I rated atmosphere and service. Delivery temp was nice and hot. I also understand its a full menu and not just pizza. With slice I paid about $30 for the pie, that’s counting $4 for driver. Let’s get this place to a 8, I think they have potential to lead the Cape in Pizza. Please no negative replies as I’ve tried tons of pizza places out here. Good...
