When you walk in you're immediately greeted. Depending on the time. I've been here b4 at different times. I was seated immediately bc I came here around noon. I did come for breakfast. The menu doesn't have just 2 or 3 eggs with one's personal preference, but a recommended dish. So, when my server asked me what I'd like to drink, I quickly replied coffee & water. I remember when a server would not only say hello, but at least let you know her name. Anyhow, off went my server. When she returned, she asked if I was ready to order. I told her, I just like what this portion reads on the menu. She said, well that's in a complete breakfast meal & that did not have a price. So, I took her advice and added more than I wanted. Anyhow, I didn't like the coffee bc it tasted as if they cleaned the coffee maker with vinegar. It had that not completely washed out taste. Nonetheless, I asked for hazelnut creamer, to disguise it. Sry, we do not have hazel nut, just French vanilla & regular creamer. So be it. Well, 25 minutes later, I finally received my meal. Picture shown, shows my meal. 2 eggs, sausage & 2 smaller pancakes in leu of toast. I asked what happened. Tickets got mixed up is what I was told. During my long wait, I was able to observe the way the tables were cleaned when a customer finishes and how it's handled. With only 1 sweeping motion does your table get wiped down & I could see the film of leftover hand towel wipe residues. Look at the floor of the table. The bus boy dropped it & knew he did, but onto the next customer. Let me just say that this is not a inexpensive place to eat, but just the opposite. My bill, was just about $20. I understand this was Saturday noon, but in my opinion there are too many tables where the customers behind bumps you when either leaving or getting seated. I actually saw a bucket of ice right in the walkway as you go to the restrooms. How about some ice? Someone, could easily drop whatever into the bucket that had no top to it. I might have caught them off guard bc most of the servers looked as if they were now exhausted from a long day. Probably were. I think I counted 10 servers, 2 bus people & 2 cashier's. Looks like they need a larger restaurant, not more tables in the aisles. Again, this is an expensive place to eat. I guess, weekends I'll have to go elsewhere bc it was just too congested for me & the 25 minute wait for an expensive breakfast on this Saturday was not in the cards for this customer. The food was good, service was adequate but the wait & the ambiance...
Read moreHad such high hopes for this restaurant after hearing raves about it. I don’t ever recall spending $20 on breakfast for just myself, however I did on this date at this restaurant. I like different things, usually try anything once, twice if I like it, so I ordered the Poland omelette. Was asked what side I wanted and chose pancakes. Asked about different flavors and adding a crunch. Waitress suggested pumpkin with pecans, sounded great, ordered it. Was never told there would be an up charge, but I kinda figured there would be. The omelette arrived along with the pancakes, however the sour cream that was supposed to accompany the omelette was a “no show”. I had coffee and water. The omelette was already $11.97, and was a lot smaller than the “dinner plate” size I had been told it would be, but it was good. The pancakes on the other hand left a lot to be desired, leaving a sour aftertaste. Thought at first it was me, but after a couple more bites, there was still that sour taste. Couldn’t do anymore, but I brought them home just to give it one more try. The pancakes were very heavy, almost gummy….sure enough still sour tasting, just can’t figure out why a pancake would taste that way. Had my friend and grandson taste them, both said they also tasted something sour, the boy spit it out and he loves your restaurant. Sorry, I digress. So the real shocker was the bill, $19.11without tip! Coffee was $2.97, so $4.17 for the up charge to pumpkin nut sour pancakes? Really? I did leave a tip, just can’t not do that. I did mention the above when I was being checked out, but it fell on deaf ears…..just didn’t matter. $21.11 with tip, most expensive breakfast I’ve had in my 67 years. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Won’t...

House of Omelet, Pine Island Rd, Cape Coral, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
I had a coupon for 2-2-2-for breakfast. Eggs over easy, sausage links and french toast.
Service was quick and pleasant.
Everything was cooked to order.
BUT to me it seemed the french toast had a peculiar taste of plastic. Something...but the lying Log Cabin Syrup ,which declare no high fructose , though number 1 ingredient was high fructose....
It covered the taste.
My other issue was small cups for the coffee... though it is unlimited..

House of Omelets, SW Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
I was in the mood for a waffle.
So I got a crisp waffle, over easy 2 eggs and bacon( 4 slices) and coffee with tax under 12.98
In this day and age a pretty good deal.
Plus it arrived in less than 10 minutes. Service was great. 3 people came by to fill up my cup of joe.
It was a thursday at 1030AM...But really great food and service
House of Omelets, Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food, a rant & rave and chit chat. The food. A hamburger with a side vegetable beef soup. The soup. House made and just wonderful. Plenty of beef and lots of flavor. I wish it was a cold day to have a big bowl... Hamburger with basic drag thru the garden stuff cooked to a perfect medium rare. Which makes it tasty, juicy and very messy. Rave... Excellent side dish besides french fries. Rant... I hate the ciabatta buns they use now for burgers, I prefer the ole fashion buns. Chatter. Outstanding, staff are very quick and so efficient. Always a joy...
