Burger King — Restaurant in Cape Coral

I ordered a .99 Bacon Cheeseburger, Large Onion Rings, and a Chocolate Shake. I was told that the shake machine was down. Disappointed, I then said that I would take a medium Coke. The guy said, “Then you want a meal?” I said I guess so. He said that would be $9.66. I pondered that as I pulled to the window and so when he opened the window I asked how come a .99 cent burger, rings and Coke comes to almost $10. He said he just does what the machine says. Is he a zombie? I asked him to do the math in his head...he said no, the machine says $9.66. I’m begging him to think outside of the box. Nothing. I should have driven away, but I waited a long time and was hungry and thought I might get somewhere with a manager. So I gave him a $10 and got .34 back. THINK OF THAT FOR A MOMENT! $10 for a .99 cent burger, rings, and medium Coke! The change was supposed to be lunch money for tomorrow. He got the manager to the window AND SHE WAS A ZOMBIE TOO! She couldn’t get past what the machine said and would NOT investigate! She said that I could come back another time and she would give me free food, but WHY? Why not fix it right then? How would she remember me? Why would I go back after this? I feel ripped off! I feel like they took my lunch money! Approximately $5 GONE! I’ll never get it back!!! I have nowhere to turn because the receipt that they gave me doesn’t have the special code to go to their survey. Tried different websites...nothing but this place for a review. The worst part...NO CHEESE ON THE BACON...

I ordered using the BK app and that was okay ... Picked up our food in the lobby and had the chance to visit with a couple crew members and assistant manager. They were very helpful and gave an honest review (when pressed) of how the app affects the flow for them ... I had thought it would make things easier, because the food could be made and set aside once the person arrived and clicked the "I am here" button ... Burger King, however does not have the "online order" parking slots like at Chick-fil-A, and they price themselves in serving your food hot, so what actually ends up happening is more like you are just cutting in line in front of the people who arrived there first. Since you have to either come in to the lobby or go through the drive thru ... Anyway after clicking the button on your phone to let them know you've arrived (and some people click that button while they're still en route) ... So it messes with their flow and you are kinda the @$$hole for cutting in line.

My husband and I have been frequenting this Burger King 🍔👑 location since it opened and they have really gotten their stuff together since the early days. The crew now is truly spot-on and the food is always prepared well. The facility is kept clean and welcoming, at least it's been that way whenever we've visited no matter what time of day.

I would have left a one-star review but I thought that people wouldn't take it serious and would not read it. Having said that there are new Royal crispy chicken sandwich sucks, it replaced the Ch'King sandwich which was 10 stars out of five stars, it was fabulous and now they replaced it with something easier for the employees they replaced it with something easier for the employees to make!! Don't replace one of the best chicken sandwiches on the market, train or replace your employees!!!! My family of four would get chicken sandwiches once a week from Burger King but sadly no more.

Update Saturday February 11th 2023, I thought this place couldn't get any worse but it did, went there about 11:15 a.m. to order some burgers and fries all the doors are locked and no signs on the doors, there was about 10 to 15 people waiting and they didn't know what was going on but I could see people, anyhow since I've walked there because I live across the street I walked up to the drive-in window? What is going on with this place? No signs in the doors when you walk in to save driving only, typical poor management and obviously underpaid employees, the lady in the window just said where was your car, mind it doesn't get any worse than this, by the time I left it was about 20 people at the doors is trying to get in, where the heck is Burger...
