Horrible experience. We ordered a cake for my wife's best friend's teenage daughter on Sunday to help her recover after her surgery today. The cake did not get delivered and the owner of the store was more interested in following corporate procedures and blaming the delivery company than solving the situation. With out a doubt some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced and so sad that a small business owner was more interested in corporate bureaucracy than helping her customer. Only after making a stink about it did the owner agree to make a new cake but would not do anything to resolve the delivery issue without checking with corporate and was not even willing to pick up the phone and call the delivery company to find out what happened much less try to resolve the issue. So, so sad.
Update: Doordash refunded the entire cost of this order to the store but the store is refusing to refund us even the delivery portion of the order to us claiming that they would have to dock the store workers' pay to cover the short register. This just keeps getting sadder.
2nd update: after spending 40 minutes on the phone with Doordash which was mostly them talking with CSC, CSC was finally willing to refund us the delivery fee. Sure hope they don't make the staff pay for it 😱. All I can say at this point is if you want ice cream, please, oh please with spinkles on top, go anywhere else.
3rd update: after a combined 2 hours on the phone, CSC is totally willing to make and deliver a new cake if we are willing to pay for it (no charge for the delivery - thank you Doordash). Wow! Read moreThey messed up my delivery order. They gave me something nasty I'd never order instead, and so it went uneaten. When I called, the kid said, "All I can do is make you a new one if you come in." At 10 pm, are you kidding me?! Then he told me "well if you come in tomorrow between 1:30-5 when I'm working, then I can make it for you." So now I have one chance and must disrupt my schedule because of your screw up? ridiculous. I selected an option for them to blast freeze my items so they wouldn't melt on the way here. I've had it done before, and I can safely hazard they did not do it this time. 2 of my 3 items were on their sides, half melted, and leaking! I didn't realize my small order of 3 items was vastly complicated beyond the comprehension of the store and delivery staff. Now let's take a poke at the horrendous atmosphere, shall we? They haven't remodeled since they opened, they never dust, if a display or furniture breaks they'll never fix/replace it, parts of the walls are ripped and dug into, and presentation is poorly managed. It gives you the overall vibe of a run down shop with cheap owners that hire kids to save a couple bucks and yet have such a horrible turnaround rate of employees they don't care putting in any effort to train them properly. Anyway, I don’t mind paying the price for quality but tonight my experience made me never want to go back. The girl who waited on me was not the friendliest to say the least. Usually the workers are at least fake nice. You can tell they don’t want to be there and are not happy but tonight the girl really put me at a loss for words. I ordered a ice cream mix in and a shake. The ice cream mix in was mixed on a dirty slab and I was given a container that was only half full. When I said something she just looked at me and ignored me. But what really put me over the edge was I ordered a shake it was like milk. No consistency what so ever. I told her that I wasn’t going to drink it because of the consistency and asked for a new one made the right way. She went back and asked the other girl how to make it right and she brought me a new one but SHE CHARGED ME FOR THE BOTH OF THEM! I couldn’t believe it.
