Ginger Bistro in Cape Coral has been our go-to for Chinese food since they opened years ago! It has a really nice ambiance and absolutely the best Chinese food we have found anywhere. Typically the protein is the star feature of most restaurants and while the proteins served here are fabulous, the vegetables are the real standouts! They are so bright in color, beautiful, cooked to perfection and delicious! If u like vegetables, u will definitely want to take any leftovers (along with the proteins, of course) home in a to-go container. At most Chinese restaurants I notice that if there is protein left, it will get eaten or taken home, but not the brownish finely chopped little overcooked mushy vegetables thoroughly soaking in a sauce.
On our most recent Monday evening visit, when my husband sitting across the booth from me went to get his credit card from his wallet to pay at the table, apparently all his cash fell out of his slimline wallet strap. We had no idea it had happened until I received a voicemail that same evening from a wonderful employee named Kim informing us that something had been left behind in our booth. By the time we listened to the vmail, we knew the restaurant was closed so I tried texting the number back as she had said it was her personal cell. I thanked her very much but shared that we had no idea what it was since I had already made sure I had my purse and my mother-in-lawâs and my jackets and my husband had his wallet. I went on to describe the three of us and where we had been seated. She immediately replied back with such a friendly and fun, âSo glad we found you!â and further revealed âit was a fair amount of cashâ. I immediately thought, his wallet had appeared thinner than usual to me when I had looked at it in our closet, (since he was already in bed). She went on to tell us the money would be waiting for us on Wed in an envelope with his name on it and which manager would have access to it.
I asked who found it and brought it to her attention and she said it was Mallory who was our lovely young server that night. Kudos to Mallory. No one would have known if she had pocketed it. But, she did not. We will be thanking her in person and with a token of our appreciation and admiration when we purposefully go back for another meal there this week or next.
Well done and thank u so much to Mallory, Kim and Ginger Bistro. â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸

Read moreMy recent dining experience at Ginger Bistro that left me utterly disappointed with the overall dining experience. From the moment we stepped in, it was clear that this was going to be a challenging meal. Let me start by saying that the only positive note from the evening was our server. Despite being inexperienced, Malory showed remarkable composure and was genuinely nice, making it hard not to like her. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the food.
To begin with, we ordered the chicken lettuce wraps, and while they tasted alright, the experience was marred by the fact that they came with the wrong type of lettuce (iceberg) . Such a small oversight might seem trivial to some, but it significantly affected the overall enjoyment of the dish. The incorrect lettuce not only altered the texture but also impacted the flavor profile of the dish, leaving us dissatisfied.
Next, we decided to indulge in a whole duck, only to be met with sheer disappointment. To our astonishment, the dish arrived with nothing but the carcass. We were charged a hefty sum for what essentially amounted to crispy duck skin with barely any meat. The lack of proper presentation and proportion was shocking and left a bad taste in our mouths, both literally and figuratively.
The dumplings, another staple of Chinese cuisine, failed to impress as well. While I wouldn't go as far as to say they were terrible, they were far from extraordinary. The mediocre taste and uninspired presentation only added to the accumulating letdowns of the evening. For the price we paid, one would expect a far superior quality of food.
As for the ambiance, I must acknowledge that the place was bustling and our server, amidst the chaos, stayed remarkably composed, showing impressive grace under pressure. However, the lackluster food overshadowed any positive aspects of the restaurant.
While it is not in my nature to dismiss a dining establishment without giving it a second chance, I regret to say that I won't be returning to this restaurant. The cumulative disappointment of the subpar food experiences far outweighed any redeeming qualities. The combination of incorrectly served dishes,...

Ginger Bistro, Surfside Blvd., Cape Coral, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
Lets start with chatter...The last time I was here it was really disappointing. It was not as good as the Ft. Myers location.
The designed to enter the place is still horrible.... You have to do all types of round about ways to get there. Plus if you are disable it is even WORST.
But this is due to the incompetence of Florida engineers.
Now the food. I had a number of the dim sum...All very good compared to what I am use to in San Francisco.. Though they are smaller servings and more pricey...Still excellent quality and tasty.
I order the lunch special of mongolian beef...$10.00
They did right extra hot....It is the best mongolian beef I have had since being stuck here.
KUDOS to the cook...... good sauce, onions, peppers and green bell peppers.
An out standing meal for me. Though a bit more rice would be good.
Service was great.
Ginger Bistro, Surfside Blvd., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
Lets start with chit chat.....Disappointing.
1st... though the website said 11 AM when I arrived there was nothing showing if they were open.
If you are disabled or have a hard time walking, the front door, It is 35 yards away via a path. ( Note only 2 handicapped space nearby).
The decor is very nice. They have the window with the ducks. BUT NO pork belly for sale , only at Ft. Myers.
The food. I order the Mongolian beef extra hot. It was 10 bucks, a small portion and even with the extra hot not very hot. 2.50 for soda with a refill. The dim sum is very good.
Food is good but NOT as good as the original.
This is a sanatized version of the one in Ft. Myers. ..DISAPPOINTING
If I wanted a floridian chinese place I would go to the other multi joints around.
I want I need the real deal Like the GINGER BISTRO in FT. Myers.
I guess I will make the drive...
