Andy's Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Cape Girardeau

I've driven past here many times, but never stopped. I've always wondered was Andy's Frozen Custard really worth all of the hype. I decided to get some ice cream today, so I proceeded to go through the drive thru. The menu board had many selections, and the pictures made it all look good. I chose a simple chocolate and vanilla ice cream cone, you can never go wrong with an ice cream cone. My first thought when I received my ice cream was that it wasn't swirly or twisted like many other establishments that serve soft serve ice cream. Well, I tasted it and it was sooooo good! The ice cream was so creamy and delicious! The vanilla and chocolate,,,, my only regret, was that I purchased a small cone. I will definitely return and tell others to visit as well. I have never had a problem with Andy's Frozen Custard. I order a vanilla custard with strawberries and chocolate and it just melts in your mouth. The quality is so good for how fast they get it to you. The custard is made right there and you can tell that it is fresh. The drive through is a good option to take away your treat if you are in a hurry. There is usually a bit of a line but nothing too crazy. However, if you are not in a hurry, it would be worth your time to order from the window. There is no seating, but the environment is so cute. It looks just like a vintage diner, and when you are out with friends at night, this is the perfect place to stop for a sweet treat. The staff are very friendly and they complete orders...

Got a waffle cone. Worst one ever. It was stale and I couldn’t eat it. , and the ice cream was melting so fast it was leaking everywhere out my cone. Total mess. The ice cream is good , but next time , I’d just get it in a cup. But my friend that was with me had a Sunday , and she said it didn’t have enough ice cream. So $13 and two flops. Plus .. the words “small , medium , and large doesn’t tell me how much ice cream I’m getting .. ordering was stressful at the window. Then my friend got strep throat later that night.
