Rice Noodle Cai — Restaurant in Cape Girardeau

Rice Noodle Cai is my favorite Chinese restaurant. The location is not in the best area, but that is forgiven when you taste the food. I drive out of my way to pick up honey chicken with lo mein because it is that good. The glaze is perfectly crunchy. The taste is sweet with a hint of spice, and the noodles tie it together. The egg rolls and won tons are kind of bland, but that is ok. There are many good options on their menu and you really can not go wrong with the chicken. The portions are huge for the price. There is a dining area, but I have never been inside. The drive through is quick and the workers seem to have a good system. There is hardly ever a line to order but I believe you can order ahead. $26 for two meals with two crab rangoon and an egg roll. I did pay $2.50 extra for extra chicken in the lo mein. The chicken tasted like it had been soaked in salt water and was basically non-existent just little scraps. A huge amount of noodles but not enough protein to feed a person. I ordered chicken with rice noodles and curry seasoning. Lots of rice noodles, a few little slivers of chicken, a few pieces of onion was the total allotment of veggies for this dish. Other than the noodles being rice noodles, it seemed like I would have done just as well to open a cup of ramen noodles from Walmart; I was very disappointed.
