Taco John's — Restaurant in Cape Girardeau

Up until recently I had not been eating here bc I work nights. I did not know they had started opening at 7am until I put the App on my phone. Burnt out on breakfast food I search for places to get regular menu items at 8am. I placed my order thru the app and went to pick it up. I was very politely told that they normally do not make lunch items until 10 am but this time he could do it for me bc he already had the items out to do lunch. It’s VERY VERY rare to find a fast food place who’s employee is ready and willing to make a quick change for you! I can not tell you how much I appreciate him doing this for me instead of saying no, it’s not happening. I usually go to 2 other places in town and always end up spending $10 or more a day BUT bc of this extremely nice guy going above and beyond for me one time, I will choose to spend my money here now. Since the first visit I went back the next 2 mornings and both times this employee made me feel welcomed instead of being a bother! Thank you so much!! Oh, and the food was...

Went in to eat after a softball game. The place was completely dead, not a customer in sight, 4 people working. The white guy behind the counter was high as a kite and couldn’t make a complete sentence to save his life. I ordered a meat and potato burrito, grilled chicken with no tomato, along with other things. HE rang it up wrong because my daughter heard me say grilled chicken. Got the burrito and it had beef on it. I nicely took it back to the counter and told them it was supposed to be grilled chicken with no tomato. Guess what!?!? It was grilled chicken but loaded with tomatoes. So many there would have been nothing left if I picked all of them off so I threw it in the trash. Please tell me why they cannot get one burrito correct with 4 people working and by this time a car in the drive thru and one more person in the lobby?? Nacho cheese was cold, quesadilla tasted like bbq sauce and said dude behind the counter was more worried about vaping outside than he was anything else. Biggest waste of $40!...

I had an unfortunate experience. I was the first and only customer. I took a bit to order food bc I wasn't familiar with their menu and everything look good, however.. the customer service made me feel rushed, and when I came to the window, I said, "Hey girl, how's your day going?" And she just responds my total... ok then.. I responded, "Well I'm glad yall are here, everything looks good!" No response. I wait a bit for my food, not too long at all, and I said, "Thanks girl!" When she handed me the bag, and she just responds, "mhmmm." I was going to let this all go.. but then I came home and fed my family, and it was grotesque. My 3 yr old liked the plain cheese quasadilla, but me and my husband thought everything tasted wrong.. guacamole isn't suppose to taste like that. Steak isn't suppose to taste like that. So very poor service and nasty food. Won't be going there again. And poor food that's overpriced. Here's a pic...
