First off it was pricy. 2 six inch subs, 2 drinks, and 2 small bags of chip was $26 and some change!!! I ordered the BLTC and it had 4 little pieces of bacon on it. Second, I request it to be toasted and the bread turned out so stiff I couldn't chew it. The other sandwich we ordered was an absoluki. Same problem with the bread. The meat was plenty, but it was really greasey and was not chopped fine enough. The first bite pulled all the meat out of the sandwich. Worse sandwiches I've experience. I highly do not recommend. Not the staffs fault, they just work there and I assume they were trained to prepare the food the way it turned out.
Wow read the owners comment to mine. Person is lost.

2 6-in Subs(didn't say witch ones), 2 drinks, 2 bags of chips... $26... one week after we opened... with "plenty" of meat on it... I hear McDonald's is open.
Read the comment bud! I did post what sandwiches. And the plenty of meat was garbage. You are no match for even a McDonald's. You won't be open long with...
Read moreCarbondeli's is a wonderful and unique addition to the sandwich options in Carbondale. They offer a variety of hot and cold subs, with a variety of toppings, and lots of different side options. The food is always great, and the customer service has always been kind.
The menu is fairly diverse. The sandwich options include deli meat classics, cheesesteak, brisket and grilled cheese, many with an extra touch to really make them great. In particular, I find the black truffle sauce to be irresistibly addicting. You can also customize any sandwich to your liking.
They have fresh fried sides, including mozzarella sticks and breaded mushrooms. They also have several tasty soups. They also sell ice cream, if you are looking for a sweet fix. In addition to Coca Cola products, they also carry Fitz's sodas.
Food is offered for dine-in or carry out. They can do sauces on the side. The owner has been working each time I've been in, and he's always been kind and accommodating....
Read moreWe went the week prior to the grand opening and there was a major lacking in overall management. The employees were standing around chatting and not working a majority of the time we were there for lunch. The prep line was backed up, the food was sitting at the end of the conveyer of the oven, and no one took initiative to jump in and get organization started. I understand that new businesses need some time to adjust but it took 1-1/2 hours to get one sandwich after being told when I ordered there was about a 20 minute wait. When I received my sandwich it was barely toasted and no longer hot.
I’m a huge supporter of local owned businesses so hopefully they can get their act together and make a success out of this business.
Will I be trying again….yes, but it may be a few months, if they make...
