Lofty Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Carlsbad

Excellent coffee. It was highly recommended and I know why. Good roast and taste to my cold brew. Had a taste of an espresso and it was MUCH better than the "trendy chain place that likes creepy fish women" espresso. I had a Lofty-Style Nola cold brew and and it was a good coffee flavor and was very very good. I also had the Organic Acai Bowl and all the ingredients were fresh and the bowl was worth getting. My group had a variety of their other coffees and everyone had positive feed back. The french toast was not something I bought, but a friend in the group did and they wouldn't shut up about it...seriously. 😉

Come in with expectations of good coffee and good food and you will leave happy. Value for the cost. Cheap is cheap but good is worth what it costs and this place ...

This used to be my favorite, sadly not anymore.

I was a regular here until recently because it started being inconstant. The pastries here were always fresh and the coffee perfect but now it’s a hit and miss. Yesterday (Saturday morning) I bought two croissants and coffees to takeaway, once I tried the croissants they were both so stale and smelled like they have been sitting together with other ingredients. I’m surprised they would not have fresh pastries on one of their busiest mornings and over the weekend! They used to be so consistent and the croissants are really great when fresh. I’ve excused it before, thinking it’s a one off, but now it’s happened a few times I think this might be the last time I give them a chance and I’m better off going to another...

The coffee was good but I had what I would honestly call the worst breakfast sandwich ever. I ordered the “egg and cheddar sandwich” which wasn’t on the menu but was suggested by the person who took my order after I learned that the turkey and avocado croissant wasn’t available. So I said yes. I should’ve asked what all came on the sandwich, but I didn’t. I asked to add turkey, but when my order came out it included strawberry jelly, arugula, cheese, egg, two plant-based sausage patties and the turkey. Had I not been solo with my baby I would’ve asked for it to be remade, but given our time limit, I had no choice but to just pick off the parts I didn’t like and eat it. I’ll still give it another try and hope for better communication all...
