The food isn’t bad, I actually enjoy it. I would love it if they could get my order right at least one time. Every time I order for takeout that’s either online through the app or in person they have me waiting for almost an hour or so, and most of the time when they park me outside I have to remind them of my existence at least at the 40 min mark for just a sandwich and a drink. I went to eat brunch there with some friends and 2 of us didn’t get the food till like an hour and so later, and one didn’t even get her order at all. Went on the refund route since our work break was over. Mind you that this happens almost every time we visit this McAllisters Deli.

This last time I went I ordered my sandwich on a wheat wrap which okay they didn’t do, I’ve accepted that. But the fact that I went through the drive thru to pick it up and waited 15 min there for them to tell me to park on one of the numbers and wait for another 30 minutes, until I went to go inside and confront them only to have them forget about my whole ordered which they hadn’t even started until I went back in there. Three of the workers who were there were mildly rude the whole time, and they just kept arguing amongst each other about who to blame. Worst part is restaurant was almost empty when I ordered, and the screens were almost empty. Will I go back again? Not soon. I’m gonna take a break before I hate the place since I do like...

Over all food and customer service it's always excellent no doubt about that. Only bad problem which is really not the employees or restaurant fault is that they are always understaffed but it's only because there's so many people here from other states working in the oilfield so there's a shortage of employees. So if you gonna go into the restaurant best thing I recommend it's for you to put you ordered online or call up there. If not you may have to wait for a while. And also it will be faster if you go inside and not thru the drive-thru. Can't really get mad at the employees if you have to wait a while to get you good cause they are always doing their best to get everything as fast as they can. This is one of the few places around Carlsbad where you have good customer service and employees are nice to you. So I highly recommend this place to enjoy a sandwich, soup or salads. They also have some of the best teas in town and they have free refills. Every time I go I try to get something different all the time cause all of their different choices they have on their menu. My favorite vegetables are onions, cucumbers and tomatoes so I had to try it out there it was really good the put dressing and it gives it a good taste.
