I've been eating in Panda restaurants going back to 1980's to the Panda in Pasadena in the days when Andrew use to walk the restaurant floor and greet the customers and say hello. Over the years, living from California to Virginia to Texas and back.. I've been a "regular ". Tonight at the Carlsbad location, close to 8:30pm and "Kat" was the most negative employee I've ever encountered at any Panda or Panda Express. I was indecisive, every time I asked it was "no I can't, no we don't,".. negative negative. She offered no alternatives. I always get a bowl when I carry out because the white container exploded all over my new car a few months ago. The bowl never leaks. I wanted half broccoli half string beans. She offered no alternatives, she never offered an ala cart or side .. just no no no. Real bummer negative person. Understandably the green beans were starting to wilt.. it was closing time. There was a new vegan type chicken I was so excited to try but nope Kat says I can't try that she had to throw it in the trash (don't let the last customer of the night sample a new entree! Maybe I've just outgrown the Panda scene. I know it's hard finding good help but geez..the thought of Kat behind the counter .. I'd rather put needles in my eyes than have to deal with her attitude. Corporate office is closed but I'll be placing a call on...
Read moreWhere to begin here.. absolutely awful location. Upon walking in there is a huge pool of water right by the door and I almost slipped. Should have just left then and there and staff wouldn't have even noticed. No greeting or anything when entering, staff were too busy preparing orders (possibly for catering?). This was before 11 AM as well when it should be completely dead and while there were only a couple people inside staff looked busy but also we're extremely slow paced and I stood first in line for 5 minutes without even being acknowledged. Finally when it was my turn staff were terrible listeners. This location is super weird. It's big inside, but that is the best thing going for it and the only good thing really. Then when I asked for a bowl I got a box and not a bowl. When asking for utinsils I got a cheap wooden fork. I don't know if they have to do this because it's Carlsbad or something, but no other Panda express does this, even in Encinitas and Del Mar. The food is not worth the price at all. Staff was slow and clueless and lacked any sense of priority. Overall the worst panda express I've been to and I asked...
