Rolled Up SD @ Windmill Food Hall — Restaurant in Carlsbad

I had a great experience here in early March 2025. I was able to order my food with a person at the counter who was polite and attentive. The food didn’t take too long to prepare, and it was very good. I had “The Works” burrito and it was delicious. My son had a spam musubi and he seemed to really enjoy it. My only gripe about this place is that I think it’s a bit overpriced. The taste was excellent but there just wasn’t a large quantity of sashimi in the burrito to justify $21. By comparison, I frequently visit a poke restaurant and pay roughly the same, but usually am giving 2-3x more fish. Also, the spam musubi that my son ordered was enough for him, but at $5 is extremely expensive to the typical $3 or so that I’m used to paying for a larger one at Hawaiian restaurants Anyway, the food tasted good and the people who work there seem nice so I’d still come back...

Kiosk/QR ordering only. People working there avoid customers at all costs. Took me 35 minutes to get 2 sushi burritos and a spam musubi. I stood there for the last 15 min and saw NO food come out. Meanwhile they sure keep taking peoples $$ at the kiosk. Maybe they just all decided to take a break? Idk I only saw 2 ppl working in there. Then the order before mine finally came out. Then the order after mine (sushi burrito). Then I asked about my order. Then the order 2 after mine came out (sushi burrito). My group ordered, received & consumed tacos, lobster roll and a burger while I waited. Sadly the poke burrito and shrimp tempura burrito...

Worst customer service ever! I love the food, it has always been really good, but no wonder no one is working on the register. I ordered two sushi burritos and as usual, you do have the option to choose a sauce because I order two of the same did not gave me the option to add two sauces to my order. As I was picking up the order, I asked someone from the kitchen if I could get the other sauce for the other burrito, she completely ignore me and just walk away saying that that was not what it says on the ticket....
