We was riding bikes on the Monon and stopped in for a drink and some pizza like we have done for year. My husband put our name in and they told us they would step out to make sure people on the side could hear their name. No they didnt!! So he went to ask how much longer and our name had already been called. He said nobody came over to the side so we couldn't hear our name and there were many people waiting like us. My husband told the hostess that we need to be seated next or soon. He has a horse voice because that's just how it is. So the girl felt threatened and went and got the manager. The manager came out front and pulled my husband to the side and told him he will protect his girls and that she felt threatened. He then made us wait outside. We told him he has lost his mind we would not be treated as such and we would never ever be back. He literally came running out to the patio as we was getting on our bikes and tons if people telling us he would seat us right now. I said there is not a chance of that happening. He made the biggest scene on the patio let alone pulling my husband to the side, didn't talk quiet at all and told him he threatened his girls. We left and WILL NEVER step back in there again. THAT MANAGER WAS HORRIBLE. You do not do that to customers. My husband cannot help he has a horse, rough sounding voice. I want everyone to know about this...
Read moreI’ve been coming to Bazbeaux for years, Initially it was always the Broad Ripple location until moving to the north side a few years ago and then started frequenting the Carmel location. I will say this: the food has always been great, at least to my standards. I love the thin crust, the variety of toppings, and the local aspect.
However, with that being said, the Carmel location is terrible. Again, the food is not my complaint here. Parking at this location if downtown Carmel is busy is a nightmare when picking up to-go orders, which I usually always do. I recently received a gift card and had lost the receipt after first using it. Their website has no way of checking the balance virtually or call a number on the card to find out. They have no way of ordering online, which BAFFLES me; it’s 2023 guys, c’mon. Then when you call to order, you are on hold forever just to place the order.
I truly love this pizza place and will return, but perhaps it will just be on a slow day or for lunch, as clearly the best time to go is when it’s least busy. Frustrating, but still a good local place. Perhaps 2024 will bring some...
Read moreMe and my friend had a horrible experience. We got there and had to wait for someone to seat us and when they came, they took us to the very back of the restaurant. It wasn't busy and they had very few customers there. We asked if we could be sat with the other guest in the front of the place. After that it was down hill even more. First we were suppose to have one server, then the first girl that seated us ended up serving. We ordered water with lemon, my friend ask for it on the side. Rather than putting the lemon in a little saucer or even a sauce carrier, she put it on a to go lid and brought it. We would have to wait a lengthy time to order and get just garlic bread. Then when we asked for our check, we waited a long time considering they were not busy at all, I eventually went to the bar to ask him to find our waitress who was back talking with several other people. I wish I had a good experience like others but it wasn't. And I I've eaten at the other Bazbeaux restaurants. I know they have good pizza, just today wasn't a...
