My food was superub. There were large portions. Everything was seasoned well I get so excited when I can come to a restaurant and have true Greek or Mediterranean food.

I’m not for sure if I came at a time where they were shorthanded, but they really only had one person that was working inside and outside And he seemed a bit overwhelmed. I wanted to sit outside so he took my order and was helpful by answering my questions to help me decide what I wanted to eat. He told me I could go inside and get my drink or he could bring it to me so I opted for him to bring it to me. Unfortunately, that never happened even after I had my meal. I ended up just taking my plate and my trash inside and asked for a to-go container. And he set my plate on a table and pointed to the to go containers that were set out, which I honestly did not notice. He grabbed one and said it next to my plate I need to take care of another patron.

The challenge for me was that I’ve had surgery on my right hand, so I can’t lift anything heavier than a spoon. But the gentleman noticed that I was having difficulty and did come over and pack my leftovers and gave me a bag. Which I really appreciated.

I guess in summary the atmosphere the food everything was good. I think that the server was not able to show his Best because of being overwhelmed of having to manage both customers inside and outside the restaurant.

We came in for lunch last Tuesday after one of my patients recommended Fayrouz as "outstanding". I am beyond excited to say that this was 100% spot on! Mohammed (server/host) and Joe (the owner) were both wonderful, friendly people who made us feel like family from the very first visit! Even one of the gentlemen who was working in the kitchen who had heard I had traveled in Egypt came out to say hi! What a welcome! Next- on to the food! We ordered both the mezze platter, (which was filled with delicacies like Arabic salad, hummus, baba, dolma (yaprak sarma) and fresh pita) and the mixed grill (köfte, lamb and chicken kebab with salad and french fries). Spectacular! Just from tasting the hummus, I could tell that he had spent hours working the chickpeas to ensure this level of quality that you saw rarely get to experience in the US (a fact that he later confirmed to me through the course of our conversation). The kebabs were delectable, the falafel was perfect and beautifully fried, the kibbe was succulent (with every spice note coming through) and the Arabic salad served as the perfect complement to everything! We will definitely be back over and over again! 5 stars and you must try this restaurant...

Fayrouz Restaurant offers a delightful Middle Eastern dining experience, particularly known for its authentic Lebanese dishes. The menu includes a wide range of options, such as the ever-popular chicken and lamb shawarma, grilled kofta, and a variety of mezze like hummus, falafel, and baba ganoush. The mixed grill, featuring a selection of meats like lamb, chicken, and kofta, is a customer favorite for those who enjoy a hearty meal. Vegetarians are also well catered to, with dishes like mujadara (lentils with caramelized onions) and the falafel platter being highly recommended.

The ambiance is cozy, and the service is praised for being attentive and welcoming. The restaurant is also popular for events, with many diners complimenting both the food and the venue’s atmosphere for gatherings. The prices are reasonable, making it a great spot for those looking to enjoy authentic Middle Eastern cuisine in a casual setting .

Overall, Fayrouz is a must-visit for anyone craving rich flavors and a satisfying...

With so many options to eat in downtown Carmel, as a vegan I chose Fayrouz because I loooove falafel. (I’m a falafel snob I suppose) And they had a 4.8 ⭐️ on google! Wow! Unfortunately I have to be a voice of reason here. The veg platter although it looks good, the taste was of days old food. In fact everything tasted past its prime. And it had a layer of artificial flavor to it like a or chemical or plastic. I eat a lot of falafel and Mediterranean food. In all my experiences across the US, this falafel may have been one of the worst tasting I’ve ever had. Not even sure how to describe the flavor profile. The babaganoush was pretty good. The dolmas tasted old and they were a bit slimy. The hummus was lacking flavor. The pita had that artificial flavor again. And the iceberg green salad was an after thought, it should be fattoush, couscous or shirazi salad or something. It’s there as a garnish really, that’s it. Service was good and accommodating.

I absolutely ADORE Fayrouz! Recently posted them in Indy Foodies Group on Facebook. The food is flavorful, service is outstanding, and I love the decor of the restaurant itself. The kebabs are unmatched! I love getting the hummus and kebab. The perfect bite is a piece of pita dipped in the hummus, topped with the seasoned rice and kebab meat, then sprinkled with feta. The platters are visually stimulating and colorful. It's quite appetizing to look at, which we always eat first with our eyes. I recently tried the bakalava with pistachio and was pleasantly surprised. They also have ma'amoul and it was a first for me. It's very crumbly, with a date paste inside. I will be going back for more soon. The man at the register was so kind, and very friendly. He kept me in the loop that the half chicken takes a little longer, which I did not mind at all. It was delightful. 1000/10. Please go here!! You won't be disappointed!

Stopped in on a Sunday shortly after they opened. We sat outside. Ordered apparently too much food because the server came back and said the kitchen recommended we decrease the amount for two. Haha. We appreciated the recommendation and decreased. Everyone was friendly. Self serve drink cooler, so you order coke, water, etc. then you go and get it yourself. The falafel and hummus were great. Some of the best hummus we have had in Indiana. The Arabic salad was really good as well. The foul was different than expected and it was ok. It was a dip, which we weren’t expecting. We ordered food from here again the next day because we enjoyed it so much. Definitely worth checking out. Their online menu marks items as vegan. I wish the printed menu did as well. I also confirmed when ordering and server seemed knowledgeable on ingredients and menu.
