I walked in here to grab my son a sweet treat and he decided on the icing frosted sugar cookie. The atmosphere was nice and the service was also great, no complaints there. The issue I have is with the product being sold. Now I need to preface, I haven’t tried all of their cookies and for roughly $5 a piece I don’t know if I ever will. This cookie was, for a lack of better words, not good. There is an almost chemical taste to it that is very reminiscent of plastic. From the moment you take a bite to the moment you swallow you are reminded of a ziplock bag. The cookie could have been free and it still would have found its way into my trash. I’m not sure if this was just a one off but for my first experience I’m not very pleased to say the least. We may come back again to give one of their other cookies a chance (Because they do have a rather large selection) but for the time being, I’ll have to go elsewhere until this taste leaves my memory.

Lovely cookie shop, great location right there on Monon. Clean, nice, vibrant cookies. So much better than some chain with a fancy app and pink boxes. Cookies were original, beautiful, and big. Soft but not gooey. Sweet with a taste of salt. The frozen treats looked amazing but it was too brisk on my visit. Wonderful people working - packaged my "now" cookie distinct from my "later" cookies which was kind and very welcome. Shared with friends, but we had: sugar, oreo, s'mores, and strawberry chocolate. I've never had a strawberry cookie before, it was a delight. They all were. Again, pretty on the eyes too. Especially the fancy presentation of the s'mores.

Mary's Mountain Cookies is a small bakery with a nice selection cookies, from classics like Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip to more exotic flavors like Caramel Macchiato and Fudge Fantasy Avalanche, you're sure to find a flavor you'll enjoy. The cookies are soft and fresh. The facility is clean. The service is quick and friendly.

I was just curious if maybe someone was using too much almond extract in the dough or the icing. I want to love these cookies because the texture is nice and they seem super fresh, and the staff is always kind and helpful, but I’ve been trying to figure out the flavor that runs through every cookie that overwhelms any other flavor, and I really think it’s almond extract. Maybe that is just the unique flavor that ya’ll are trying to use to distinguish your brand, and if so I totally get that and respect it, it’s just sometimes an off putting taste if there’s too much of it, since it is a strong flavor. I thought it might be just slightly possible that someone was using almond instead of vanilla, by mistake, but if it’s just your thing, then please don’t let my review bring you down:). Lots of people seem to really like the unique flavor, and I applaud you for trying...
