I have eaten here several times and have enjoyed the food. Service has been lacking in the past, but they have always been very nice. Tonight my future father in law was in town from NY and he wanted Thai. Waitress was very sweet, but over the top nervous and almost scared acting. We noticed all of the wait staff acted this way! Was very strange. We ordered satay and calamari. Satay came out in good time and tasted great. We asked repeatedly about calamari and we never did receive it. She brought my meal out and not my fiancé’s or his fathers, after several minutes they told me to start eating so my food wouldn’t get cold. I had a chicken with peanut sauce dish and veggies. Was very good....until the third bite when I bite down on a shrimp tail! After digging around and finding three more shrimp tails, I about threw up. I have had several shrimp dishes here in the past and I’ve always had shrimp tail served on my shrimp. So of course the first thing that came to my mind is/was, that I was eating someone else’s discarded shrimp tails!!! As if that’s not gross/bad enough, won’t if I had a seafood allergy?! We immediately left and they had the audacity to charge my fiancé for the three beers we had and the satay. We went across the street to Bub’s and talked about our experience and it got my fiancé all fired up. He went back over to the restaurant and they did give him his money back. I will never eat here again and I want to make a complaint to the health department. Very disappointing because we love Thai food and the location is right down the street from our home. By the way, Bub’s was...

The Food If memory serves, Pai Thai Restaurant is most likely the first Thai restaurant I tried in the midwest. A friend made a suggestion for this place and I was curious to try. We did family style and ordered several dishes for the table: Chicken Satay Pad See Ewe Green Curry Hawaiian Fried Rice Deep Fried Tilapia We got Chicken Satay as an appetizer, it went well with the side of peanut sauce. The Pad See Ewe had good flavor, but the beef was a bit overcooked and tough to chew. Both the Green Curry and the Hawaiian Fried Rice were quite good. But the Deep Fried Tilapia was probably the main highlight of the meal. The skin had a good crisp to it, the meat was nicely cooked, topped with mango along with sweet and sour sauce. It was quite the fulfilling meal and didn't have room for dessert so maybe next time.

The Miscellaneous The Pai Thai Restaurant is a bit tucked away in the side street so is easy to miss. They have a decent amount of seating, as well as outdoor seating, when the weather permits. The interior decor is interesting with a noticeable wall of bottles. The service was quite efficient, we didn't have to wait too long for the food after ordering. The staff was attentive, and ensured that drinks were full throughout the meal. Pad Thai Restaurant has quite the extensive menu to choose from. Aside from the standard Thai dishes, they also had a variety of entrees and chef specials. The prices are not unreasonable, though some dishes are on...

I have eaten here in the past and would normally give this place an easy 5 star review each time. This post is not rating the food or staff, but is calling out a particularly bad customer experience. I ordered food on the Pad Thai website through Cartana. I paid and received a receipt confirming my order. When I went there to pick up my food, there was no food as the restaurant had not received the order. Rather than make it right and provide me with my food at no charge I was instructed to place an order at the restaurant and pay again. Disappointing. The business should take responsibility for its third party ordering service when it is on the Pad Thai website and should have worked to resolve this directly with Cartana and just fulfilled my order. That would be good customer service. If you dont stand by ordering through Cartana dont put it on your website.

Update: Cartana texted me a receipt showing restaurant accepted the order. Hopefully this isnt there way of blaming the restaurant so they do not have to issue a refund. I want my money back and for Pad Thai to contact me and fix this promptly.

Update 10-2. After calling Pad Thai they said they would call Cartana and get me a refund. They also advised me not to use this feature of their website. I was issued a refund. Long story short....eat here staff is friendly food is good, just dont order online...

My husband went in and showed his phone with my order (picture of the orders name with ingredients from their menu- I took a snapshot of it), but he came home with something different. I asked for Stir fried RICE noodle with beef -no bell pepper, green beans or tomatoes, only basil and onion. I received stir fried FLAT noodles with beef, eggs, green beans, carrot, cabbage and onion. He bought it for me so when I came home from work today I would have something to eat, but unfortunately this is not what I ordered or wanted. If this is something you’d want (ingredients wise) I’d say it would probably be good. I just can’t stand the flat noodles for some reason plus these ingredients so I just can’t eat it. Was going to give just 1 star, but after speaking with the ladies who were both super delightful at the restaurant they agreed to make it right. 😊 Will definitely go back and dine in.

Overall: Solid, hearty thai food in the heart of Carmel. Been standing since I was a kid. Food: Their thai iced tea (not pictured) is very good. We got papaya salad and the chicken pad see ewe. Papaya salad is a bit sloppy/wet compared to other places, but the taste profile is there and still delicious. the pad see ewe is my go to, although this time around the chicken was very overcooked and dried out, likely due to pre-prepared chicken that they retold into the wok. I would recommend the tofu for this dish. Service: Prompt and quick! They tend to do restaurant work in the front of the house, so you’ll see them crafting original on the straw wrappers as you walk in haha. Servers are nice and food comes out fast. Atmosphere: Super cute! Wish this place had more people to fill it up because the decor is amazing.
