BRIDES: DON'T RISK GETTING YOUR RINGS REPAIRED OR RESIZED HERE!
I brought a ring in that I needed to be repaired as I wanted to wear it for my college graduation. It was my grandmother's ring who was gifted it by her father, so it's been in my family for some time. (The ring had also never needed a repair the full 5 years since it was gifted to me).
Long story short, the date my ring was supposed to be picked up kept getting pushed back and then pushed back again and pushed back again. Metalmark lacked communication skills as I was the one who had to keep reaching out to them to get an update on the ring.
It was excuse after excuse saying the jeweler was sick or he had a flat tire, after I had communicated with them and brought my ring in well over a month before my graduation, and they said that me getting in back the beginning of the week before my graduation would be no problem.
As they kept pushing it back the week of my graduation, I started to get seriously worried that I would not have it in time for my graduation, and they kept saying "oh, it'll be ready tomorrow," just for them to say the same thing the next day.
The day before my graduation comes, and they pull the same thing saying it's not done. (This was a very simple, single-banded ring). THEN, the day of my graduation comes, and they tell me that they're so sorry, but I won't have it for my graduation.
I told them that I didn't care that it wasn't done, I just wanted my ring back. They were very hesitant in giving it back to me, and after I continuously demanded I want my ring back, they confessed that they had sent it elsewhere and outsourced its repair. My dad was so frustrated that he showed up at the store and was somehow able to get my ring back, which was interesting because they told me it wasn't at there store?
I ended up getting it back and it was already fixed. I'm not sure why it was there and was ready and they were refusing to give it back to me, but they still made us pay and it was over $100.
3 weeks later, the ring breaks again. Really showcases the quality of their work. I went and got it repaired in my hometown WHERE IT WAS ONLY A $25 REPAIR.
Overall, I'm glad I wasn't getting married, because I couldn't imagine them pulling this where a ring wouldn't be ready by a wedding date.
I wouldn't trust them. I don't trust what they say, their quality, or...
