Lucky Inn Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Carney

I am mainly giving this review based on quality of food and delivery service.

starting with the delivery service, the delivery driver was completely unprofessional and just astounded me the way that he delivered the food. while the food arrived on time the way that the delivery driver announced his arrival at my home was completely appalling. This man pounded on my door like the police, if not harder. He was done, screaming something extremely unintelligible I could not make out a single word that he was saying he scared my whole household. My animals went running. Everybody in the house was beyond petrified. I genuinely thought that somebody was at my house to cause me and my home harm.

He finally decides to just start yelling the word delivery, so I realize that there’s nothing to worry about and I go to grab my food. He was already long gone by the time I open the door and my food was not covered or in a bag or anything just placed in a box.

The food quality was OK I could tell that the ingredients were fresh, but for some reason the sushi was chewy????? the wonton soup consisted of beef bouillon cube broth, and sub par wontons.

You definitely get what you pay for considering I got 8 rolls for less than 29$. Very very...

We've been going to this place for years because the food is ok (good sushi) and it's inexpensive. Always wanted to support them. But we're vegan and last time I ordered delivery they'd sent me one sushi roll with fish. So this time I wrote "no fish or egg please, we're vegan." I order vegetable lo mein and a Buddhist delight vegetable dish. An hour later they deliver dishes that are just plain noodles, with some tofu thrown into one. Nothing else, no vegetables! What? I call them up. The cook says that I ordered the food to be without vegetables. They thought 'vegan' meant no vegetables. They told me that I'd written 'no vegetables' on my order. Not true, a copy of my receipt was mailed to me. Ok, anyone can make a mistake, but the restaurant staff insisted that it was my mistake. They didn't resend the food or refund it. They charged me $30 for two completely plain noodles dishes and an order of...

This place is only about a mile or so from where I live so I don't know why this was the first time I had gone there to eat in the restaurant, but I'm glad I did!

First of all, the service was excellent! And even after we finished eating, my friends and I sat and talked for the longest time and didn't feel pressured at all to leave at a certain point. Of course we would have if it had been super crowded.

Now about the food. I ordered sushi and it was really good! And the prices were quite reasonable compared to some places nowadays. I also ordered some House Lo Mein to take home with me for the next couple meals and just had some today and that was also very good. Their portions are large and this place is one of the few places that starting during covid did not raise their prices ridiculously! My large House Lo Mein was only $6.95!
