Wockenfuss Candies #50 — Restaurant in Maryland

Stopped in here yesterday because I needed a MD postcard for a friend's school project and could have spent hours looking at all the awesome gift items. The Wockenfuss Candies are on one side of the store and the rest is actually a Hallmark store which makes for one stop shopping. They didn't have a huge selection of postcards but I was able to find a nice one with lighthouses and they even sell stamps (just not postcard stamps, unfortunately). Hands down the best chocolate in the US! I have tried chocolate from all 50 states (and some overseas) and every single time I come back to Wockenfuss they make me feel like it’s my first visit. For a long time I was without as I traveled for work and no longer lived in Maryland, but with shipping options across the US I never have to be without! They pack it wonderfully and it’s about what you would expect cost wise (I live in a hot state and my package made it to me fast!) when you are in MD try one of the local shops and if you can’t wait, do like I did and have...

Went closer to Christmas so it was busy inside but I can imagine the candy counter usually has a line. Some neat gifts inside worth checking out. Will have to stop by during the regular season and get some candy.

Store was clean and they had a lot of employee's on hand. The candy case was amazing a very wide selection. They had at least 10 to 15 people in that line the entire time we were inside and it moved fairly quickly.
