Bojangles — Restaurant in Carolina Beach

I went through the drive-thru at the Carolina Beach location and it was a disgusting experience. The floor in the kitchen looks like someone dumped a trash can on the floor. While the employees walked on trash and chicken on the floor while making my food one guy had on one glove while he wiped his nose and picked at his zit covered face with the hand without a glove and was touching my food. I payed with a $20 dollar bill and the drive thru employee told the manager she needs change so she grabbed some money from the cashier without gloves and turned around and made my fries with the cash in her hands without gloves and I watch my fries touch the money in her hands. I said fu%@ this give me back my money back and drove off. Just go to the monkey junction location it's night and day difference. If a health inspector went to Carolina Beach location they would have shut the doors. They also treat you like your bothering them when you order. I did eat there a week ago but was not really paying attention to what they were doing and I was sick that night with diarrhea and extremely nauseous I know why now. I will never go back and I advise you don't either, thank me later. Everyone working on 4/2/2023 should be fired and never to work around food again. I'm not someone looking for free food or a kevin/Karen and i was not having a bad day what I'm describing is true and trying to warn the public.

Update as of 1/18/2025 same stuff is still going on. They did not have ingredients for rice bowl so they sold it to me with out the bean. When I when back to get it right they THEN FINALLY told me they did not have any beans. I absolutely hate people that play around with my time, money and food. Nothing like paying full price on something your not getting. If you would of said you didn't have beans I would of left with nothing. I'm actually blown away this place is even still open. Everyone that they hire are absolute clowns. It's to the point it's comical and entertaining. You can play games with yourself to see what they will and can get wrong each time you go. This location finally in 2025 finally made me stop eating all fast food. I will make my own rice bowl. Thanks for the better...

If I could give this store 0 stars I would! Do not eat at this Bojangles service is 1/10 food smelt like the fish market. I went last night & ordered a rice bowl through the drive thru you could tell they did not wanna come to the speaker cause she took too long. The manager on duty was a mixed looking girl she told me they make everything fresh & that they had to make rice tenders & then she proceeds to tell me there wasn’t anymore pinto beans for the bowl I said that’s fine cause I don’t eat pinto beans then I asked the heffa could I make it a combo she then tells me that it doesn’t come in a combo I said well the other Bojangles have the rice bowl that comes in a combo then she got unconfused after me explaining to her, she took my money & asked me to pull forward & I had to wait 15 mins. I pulled forward & waited till 10 when they were closing had to drive back through the drive thru & tell them that I waited almost 30 mins & nobody ever came out to give me my food. All they were doing in there was playing & walking around looking STUPID NOT DOING A DAMN THING & forgot about my food then when I got my rice bowl it was pinto beans all in the after she told me that they didn’t have any beans & I told her that I didn’t want beans so I basically paid $11.55 all for me to not even eat any of it cause I was scared that they could’ve did something to my food after they didn’t wanna make it. I will be back up to this Bojangles to address the issue in person cause the night crew sucks & from reading all the other reviews everyone has been saying the samething. Fired these unprofessional workers & get a new crew. This Bojangles is located in Carolina beach who would want to go to a place to eat with rude workers & being skeptical about your food. Do not eat here!!! HR needs to seriously read all of these reviews & do something...

My sister and I came to this location last week while my family was in town vacationing for Thanksgiving and it was extremely disappointing. During this visit, I arrived to the drive thru and was informed that they were only taking cash. After grabbing cash from the nearest ATM, I come back and place my order.

During the order, I request jelly for my biscuits and hot sauce. This order was repeated several times. Drive up to the window, only to pay and be told to pull forward and wait (they always do this with family meals). A gentleman comes to the car window looking glum. He’s the cook. He gives us chicken options because they are out of wings. We make our selections and wait.

Another guy comes out and hands me the food. I tell my sister to check the bag but she assures me that they have everything right because the order was simple. Against my better judgment, We didn’t check. We get back to our Airbnb to find no biscuits with our order, no jelly but a bunch of honey we didn’t ask for. The fries were old and hard and the mash potatoes/gravy were soupy. Not to mention, I ordered a 20 piece family meal so that’s a lot of biscuits. My family was furious!

So I call back to the store and speak with a manager who tells me I can just come back to the store and get them (the biscuits)…in a nonchalant way. Everyone was hungrily awaiting our arrival and had started eating. It didn’t make sense to go back for the biscuits, we weren’t that close to the store. The manager says he can’t do anything else as far as discounting for poor food quality and inconvenience.

I see why this store has low ratings and gets consistently poor reviews. Whoever owns this location in particular doesn’t care. I urge anyone to take their business elsewhere because you don’t get what you pay for. I’d give this place a 0 star rating...
