🔥 Hidden Gem Alert 🔥 I ordered the Double Jungle Burger with an added twist; Philly cheesesteak on top. Basically turned it into a Triple Threat, and it was amazing. Got it with sweet potato fries and a large drink. I completely cleaned my plate; everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The lobby was empty, which honestly surprised me… because this place used to be the go-to spot for burgers. DFW!! y’all are sleeping on Burger Island. It’s still one of the BEST burger joints in the metroplex. Solid portions, wild flavor combos, and super underrated. Highly recommend. 👏🍔🍟🥤

We moved from Fort Worth, we miss our little holes in the wall with amazing food. We traveled far to find out one our best spots was closed permanently. We then happened to find this spot by chance. I don’t know where to start, friendly staff, AMAZING food, beat burgers in town by FAR!! They do seem a little understaffed with only two people but whatever time they take it is worth the wait. Fries make it or brake it for me and these fries are perfectly seasoned. Burgers are juicy and large, i cant say enough about the burgers, you’ll keep coming back for more, i guarantee it.

We attempted to visit Burger Island tonight for the first time. We arrived at at 8:30PM the sign is lit and says open. Also online is notes they close at 9:00PM. Tried both door for them to be locked and looked into to see the employee watching the game. The photos is after we returned back to the car. You can clearly see the sign says open and the clock in the car shows 8:34PM. There was another couple who pulled up shortly after attempted to open the door and the worker came to it letting us know it’s closed. Very disappointing.

Great burgers to go! First the bad... The place feels dirty. Mostly because it is. Some paint and a little refreshing of the place wouldn't hurt. They don't deliver. There has been a sign on the door for years now saying that they have stopped delivering until further notice. IE: never apparently. This is unfortunate, I would order from them constantly if they would. And I'm sure I'm not alone. Now for the good: Burgers are nothing short of awesome. You can find most any combination to suite your tastes. The burgers are large and very satisfying. If you are watching your carb intake, they will happily serve you a bunless burger on a bed of lettuce, onions, pickles and tomato. I top mine with a smear of mayo and mustard for a sauce. Their cooking method is smash burger. My only complaint is that some of the cooks don't understand that you can't smash the burger again after 30 seconds of cooking. Doing so presses the tasty juices from the patty making a drier burger. The hamburger seasoning is top notch. It's applied to the outside of the patty only. It's absolutely perfect. As long as you don't get a smash happy cook, these burgers are second to none. The offerings include more than burgers, but the burgers are certainly the super star here. The sides are great as well. They offer fries in regular and sweet potato. Both are outstanding. The chili cheese fries are addictive. The chili doesn't over power the frys and allows you to taste both with the cheese. Simply perfect. The quality seems to be about equal across different locations. The price is the same as your local fast food hamburger joints but a much better burger...

Came in the place was empty. Little divey looking compared to other Burger Island locations. Looked old. Tables were dirty even though no one was there. I ordered the Philly Cheese steak sandwich and was told they were out of steak. I ordered the guacamole burger instead and got.....a Philly cheese burger. Great compromise as it was delicious but not what I ordered. I ordered regular fries instead of seasoned for my son and got seasoned anyway. They said they'd correct but after 8 minutes waiting (no one was there remember) my son ate the seasoned. We never got the regular ones. Speaking of fries, they are home made. Soft and limpy but really good if you like this kind of fry. Other patrons finally came in to pick up called in orders and one wasn't ready. One was cold. One eat in group of 4 who was there for the first time had to make revisions at the counter for their order 3 times because they were out of things they wanted. Two of the group left frustrated and two stayed. When they received their order it was wrong. Instead of a turkey burger one lady received beef. When she attempted to get the order corrected she was told that they were out of turkey. She cancelled her order and got a refund. The other lady seemed pleased with her nachos. I can understand why this place was empty. Its a shame too because they're located directly across from the trampoline park full of possible customers. The burgers are huge and really tastey but this locations customer service seems lazy. Friendly but lazy. I'll stick to the Carrollton location if I'm ever back in that neck...

This was my first visit to any burger island. The burger selection is unique to say the least. Hawaiian burger, jungle burger, pizza burger, and more. I decided to play it safe and ordered a mushroom cheeseburger to go. After taxes it cost $7.36 for a fresh, hand pressed, 1/2 lb burger. Not bad at all as long as it tastes as good as it sounds. Unfortunately I ended up having to wait a little over 2 hours before I got to sink my teeth into what I hoped would be a huge bite of deliciousness. I was so impatient to taste it that I didn't even bother reheating it and it was still so good. After sitting in my car in the hottest part of the day for over 2 hours the patty had not dried out and the bun hadn't gotten all mushy. I was a little confused bc I've never eaten a burger that has set for that long that didn't resemble trying to chew leather wrapped in biscuit dough. But today I found a burger that could sit in the heat of Texas summer and still taste amazing! The only reason I didn't give them five stars is bc they don't have combos for a burger, fries (or side) and drink on the menu. Everything is ordered individually which I find a little odd. I would've ordered a combo and spent more money. But I don't like having to order everything a la carte. I hope you enjoy this place as...
