Holy Cow, Or should I say Holy Chicken. The food at Cowboy Chicken is amazing. And do you know how I know it's really good? Well I ordered food for delivery online and it was still top notch. Ordered the #1 family pack which was a whole chicken, 3 sides (got twice baked potaters, corn fritters, and mac & cheese) with 4 rolls. Also wanted to try the Enchiladas so ordered the plate with two. Added two of the smaller choices of Peach and Apple cobblers to try them both out and boy was that a huge mistake, I should have ordered the Texas sized cuz they are so amazing that I woofed them down in like 3-4 bites each all by myself. Hey don't judge until you try the cobblers too. I typically don't like pies nor cakes so cobblers are a great choice and especially from Cowboy Chicken. Anywho, The guy that was delivering the food called me while en route and pre-apologized for being late even though he wasn't yet. The food traveled about 5 miles from the Carrollton store to my location and arrived still warm and only about 2 minutes later than the 15 min delivery window that the online and confirmation email stated. No big deal and I wouldn't even call that late and since the guy had already called and was so nice and friendly while delivering it, it makes you look over a simple tardiness like that. It is so refreshing to have a home cooked style restaurant like this around that certainly one ups chicken places like Boston Market. The logo is cool too and I'm glad this all started in Dallas TX. Wooo Hoooo Yall!!! Try some Cowboy Chicken you won't be let down nor disappointed. The seasonal Honey Orange Ice Tea is so good I will most likely visit again tomorrow or the next day just to get a gallon (or two, or three, or four; yeah it's that good) and to take some of my fellow employees to try this hidden gem out. Also, with Thanksgiving in a few days I might get a pan of cobbler and a rotisserie Turkey (a special right now per Instagram) for my upcoming family feast!! Too bad I joined the loyalty club after I tested the food for the first time, cuz I missed out on some points today. Read moreThe food was good, the portions seemed small. I ordered a 3 piece dark meat meal with two sides and the chicken pieces felt a bit small so I left still feeling hungry.
The service, on the other hand, was outstanding and ONLY because of one very special person - Michelle from Philippines. As soon as we walked in Michelle greeted us with the biggest smile even though she was in the middle of sweeping the floor. She was immediately ready to assist and made us feel like the highest priority. It is such a rare thing nowadays. We needed a bit of time to decide but when we were ready to order, Michelle was there to help us. She thanked us for coming in, she highly encouraged us to return soon, she told us how great the rewards are if we were registered in the app and how we should continue coming back to take the fullest advantage of the perks.
Once our food was ready, once again, with the biggest smile, Michelle brought it to our table and with the most care set it in front of us on the table. She made sure we didn’t need anything else before leaving to help others. We felt valued every second we were interacting with Michelle. She truly cared. Even when we were eating and Michelle was bringing food to other tables she continuously observed and kept checking with people on the floor to make sure everyone was doing great, didn’t need anything and was enjoying their meals.
When people finished their meals, Michelle was there to clean tables right away. No one had to sit with dirty trays on their tables trying to have a conversation.
Michelle truly puts her heart and soul in serving people, and it is so natural and sincere. Thank you Michelle for making our visit so special and so warm. You are truly an amazing person, and we hope to see...

I am writing to express my utmost disappointment with the service I received at your establishment on March 15, 2024, at approximately 2:10 PM. I visited your store with the intention of purchasing a baked chicken and brisket combo, yet my experience was marred by unacceptable behavior and substandard service.
Upon arrival, I encountered a disheartening situation where one of your staff members informed me that it was her last day. This revelation already set a negative tone for my visit. As I proceeded with my order, I noticed that the chicken appeared undercooked. When I requested a replacement with another white meat option, the exchange was handled poorly.
Furthermore, I observed members of your kitchen staff conversing in Spanish, which would not be an issue if it did not affect the quality of service. However, the replacement chicken was delivered with apparent disregard, as it was forcefully thrown onto the counter in front of me.
This experience is not an isolated incident. In the past, when utilizing your services through Uber Eats, I have encountered similar issues such as missing items and undercooked food. It is evident that there are systemic problems within your organization that need to be addressed promptly.
As a customer, I have given your establishment numerous chances to rectify these issues, but this experience has left me with no choice but to cease my patronage. I urge you to take immediate action to address the behavior of your employees and improve the overall quality of service...
